I read some article 2 years ago that is questioning Turner's skills and talent as the 2nd overall draft pick. They also questioned Philly's decision at that time. I'm glad him and Avery Bradley are surprising the league

Can't find that article but here is a similar one:

Even after tonight's defense and scores? He had a slow start but finished strong on both ends.

Are you kidding me?...without his timely block in the 4th and his stiffling D..we easily could have lost this game. I would rather have AB in there than Ray to be honest as Ray has been shooting like crap recently.

I love how Evan Turner has developed.  He's not a natural point guard, but he can clearly play that position, and he is a nightmare defensive matchup.  Such a skilled and polished offensive game.  Reminds me a lot of Andre Miller but with way more athleticism.

Evan Turner looked good until we switched to Avery marking him then he did very little.

Almost all players who was matched up with Bradley became less efficient,

Bradley did not have a great offensive game, but he was very effective last night on the defensive end and in the energy category. We need his and Rondo's energy to match the Sixers. Would not have won last night without it.

I too am glad to see Turner prove doubters wrong. He can play.

They need to trade Iggy to free up things for Turner for him to really come into his own. Very similar offensive players.

Was a huge fan of Turner coming out of the draft a couple of years ago.  It's been fun to see his development this year.

Turner matches up well with us because of his length.  Unless he is "our" guy I don't like when he is improving as it hurts us.

I'd trade Turner before I traded Iggy. It's way too difficult to find a perimeter defender like Igggy.

Turner is 5 years younger and has a much better contract for the next couple of seasons at least.  And Iggy while a better defender has been getting progressively worse everywhere else for the last 5 years since his peak at the age of 24.  He still a very good player, but it appears he is on the decline already.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Calm down, he still has many years to go. For all we know, he could have a break out season next year. His defense is going to be this good for a long time, while Turner is still a ? mark.
