  • The good ole days.
Avery saved the game for us tonight with that blocked shot

i'd take KG's entire game as "saving the Celtics" (again) over one good play by Bradley...

It was like 3 great plays.

ok then... i'd take KG's entire game as "saving the Celtics" (again) over three good plays by Bradley...

This was a tough loss for the Sixers. If they lose game 2 they're going to be close to done.

idk if it has been touched upon in this thread (or another), but is there any meaning behind what keyon and quis do with their arms up and down on the bench when we are on a roll and make a great play??  i think it's great, just wondering if it originated somewhere or if it's just an inside thing w/ the team...
Let’s go Celtics!!

Whoever said that Bradley's block is how championships are won is 100% correct. What an absolutely huge play that was.

Another play that shouldn't be forgotten is Pierce's big fast break block in, I believe, the first half of the game. That was absolutely huge. The Celtics are clearly the superior team, but we made a number of mistakes that almost gave them this one. The Celtics have to realize the folly and danger present in throwing lazy passes like Rondo threw that led to a turnover late in the third. Or the kinds of bad possessions that led to us not even getting a shot up at times.

I like that we had no defensive 3 second violations today. We tend to give up way too many points like that.

Loved the defense by Ray on Iggy there at the end..

Sarcastic? or taking a shot at Ray

Nope. Not at all.

He stayed in front of him on a couple of possessions towards the end there and didn't give him any daylight.

I saw the game.

Super win!  Flat, tired, shots off, but yet they found a way to pull out the victory.  Great, great effort....

I was thinking about how frustrating it must be to Hawks and Sixers fans -- to have their team outplaying the C's for 90% of the game and still lose...must be gut wrenching...

It's more of the Hawks + the Sixers shooting lights out. Iggy's jumper isn't that good and did you see Evan Turner's iso in the beginning of the game? Those are bad shots.

Gotta feel confident down the stretch in fourth quarters against this Sixers team. They routinely make numerous knucklehead moves down the stretch.

The class and skill of Rondo, Pierce and Garnett and shooting ability of Ray Allen gives Boston a major advantage in close games against this Philly team.
Speaking of knucklehead plays......Why did Philly not miss the last foul shot on purpose?

Gret win even when most of the game the Celtics are no hitting their shots. Live that KG came in big time again tonight. Shows the intestinal fortitude of this team. Love it!

And oh, ROndo messed around, again.

I still don't get why people say we played so bad. Even in the first half we weren't playing that poorly the shots just weren't falling. I lost count of all the shots that rattled out at the beginning of the 3rd.

Great W. I still can't get over that Hawes steal then coast to coast bucket. Or the fact Rondo now has a jumpshot. What a gutsy team. I love it

mr triple double does it again, and ppl on these boards wanna ship him away for ageing soft power forwards ???

Who's getting paid a ton of money on top of that. Another "this is for the haters" game by Rondo.

Actually, I was thinking: if those shots fall, Rondo will have what, 4, 5 more assists in just that first half? Maybe more? He had 8 at the half right?
