Gotta feel confident down the stretch in fourth quarters against this Sixers team. They routinely make numerous knucklehead moves down the stretch.

The class and skill of Rondo, Pierce and Garnett and shooting ability of Ray Allen gives Boston a major advantage in close games against this Philly team.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
My favorite part of tonight's game was KG's 3-point play to make it 85-84.  I could see both Rondo and Bradley get fired up along with Garnett.

Also, David Aldridge getting Rondo'd during the post-game interview was awesome.

man avery bradley can play some MEAN D!
big buckets from kg rondo and paul

very smart play from rondo.

great win!

I'm excited!!!

Avery is sole reason I think Celtics have a shot against Miami Heat. Dwyane historically had his way with the Celtics. Things are different now with emergence of Avery.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but that block by Bradley late in the 4th was play of the game IMO.

Great effort down the stretch. Great win

I said the same thing right after the play.

Pierce and Allen were insane from three all season. Lets hope they can get it back when they need it.

I hate this foul to prevent the 3 strategy

What would you do? It is the safest move to get this win. Philly getting the ball back would require one hell of a miracle.

agree. it was very smart

I think it was smart given that Phiily had a foul to give -- therefore with 3 seconds left the chances were incredibly slim.  But if they didn't have the foul to give, I think I'd rather give Phiily the rushed 3-point try for the tie and let the chips fall.
I'm a big fan of fouling when up three with so little time left.

Especially in transition like that, no chance of it being an and 1 or shooting foul.

i'd take KG's entire game as "saving the Celtics" (again) over one good play by Bradley...
