Rondo and Pierce non-existent in first half.  Bass doing his best BBD impression

Thankfully Boston closed out with some good play to get in back to 5 points.

Philly with 47 points which is way above their average.  Biggest part of that was transition buckets and offensive rebounds leading to 2nd chance points.

Starters are a horrid 5-23 so far other than KG.  If just any 2 get going the C's will take this game over early in the 3rd quarter...

Finally we showed up for the game. Some horrible decision-making in the earlier part of this half, but we're back to semi-decent play now.

Let's keep this going.

And less Hollins, please.

Why is Rondo settling for jumpers instead of driving to the basket?  What suddenly changed to make him show zero lack of aggression in getting inside.

Wow Rondo is TERRIBLE tonight

Have you made a single post on this forum that wasn't an anti-Rondo post?

Why does it matter? Rondo has been terrible tonight. He deserves every bit of criticism against he so far.

Rondo is leading the team in rebounds, assists and steals.

  • GOT IT!!!
KG has been the hero of the playoffs so far. Keeping the C's grounded on offense just enough.

That's right! The last movie Kiorrik saw was The Smurfs!

Lol.. thanks for the much needed laughter after that terrible half.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
LUCKY to be down 5. wow.

gotta find a way to slow down turner
We just need to slow the whole game down period! Like CWebb said, they suck in the halfcourt offense, which is why they were in the bottom third in the league in scoring. Just make Lou Williams jack up garbage all game and we win.

at this point I say just rest Pierce for the next 3 games... he is a liability defensively and not even close to his usual playoff-self offensively! after all we aren't gonna win a single game against the Heat, even if we advance, if Pierce is not close to at least 80%. ::)
"Life has so many hurdles. Some of them I've hopped over, some of them I've tripped over. The key is to get back up and finish the race."- Paul Pierce

And he did finish...

But he didn't make a game winning shot after stealing the ball in the Hawks game!

They are really lucky to be down 5 at the half.
Thank goodness for Kevin Garnett and Ray tonight because man I don't where they would be right now.
