I was just thinking that there should  be a KG thread.

I have to say that right now we have to think that we have Kevin Garnett on this team -- Kevin Garnett circa 2005-8.  He has been unreal the last 2 games.  Maybe it can't last throughout the playoffs or even for a full series, but he has been unbelievable.

it's a different KG than the 2003-2005 game... but posting similar results.  doing it now with a cerebral, finesse, a spurts of power game while back then it was incredible athleticism, skill, and length

of course the effort was and has always been there, which is why he will always be my guy

Its all jumpers, paint cut feeds, and post ups now.

No more of his great face up game that was so devastating or his quick two steps to the rim.

Great games back to back for KG on both ends.

The highlighted part is my favorite.  KG in the post is our most consistent and productive offensive weapon.  I'm just so [dang] ecstatic he's commiting himself to it.

best game of his career

I always felt that in his prime Kevin Garnett was the best player in the NBA.  Certainly statistically he was.  The guy did everything.  The only guy who has come close to being that dominant across the board (statistically) is LeBron James.  Prior to James, KG was the man year after year after year after year.  Nobody even close. 

He has never been on that level on the Celtics.  In fact, ALL of the big 3 were past their prime by the time they got together on the Celtics.  KG is still our best player, but not "best player in the game" good.  Right now, though... this is as well as he has ever played in Celtic green.  And it's not just these last two games... his movement has been fantastic for months.  When KG is moving like he has this season... you have a shot.  The guy has looked as healthy as he did in 08.  That's good.  That's really good.

I just hope Pierce, Rondo and everybody else can follow suit because then we'd be scary.

We really have to shelter the expectations regarding Pierce and Ray, they are both limited by injuries.

Unfair or not, we need to expect KG to continue his elite level of play, despite KG's age.

The next guy that needs to gear it up is Rondo. He can't sleep walk through 3 quarters of a game and then decide to utilize all of his skills and join the game.

The 3rd guy that needs to gear up is Bass. And when I mean gear up for Bass, I am only asking him to play like he did in the regular season....is that too much to ask?
