I was deftly nervous up until our final offensive possession when I heard them blaring "In the air tonight" by Phil Collins.  I remember an interview with Kevin Garnett back in 08 (i think) where someone asked what song best summed him up.  He said it was "In the AIr Tonight"... specifically the part with the drums.  He said it got him jacked up.  So strange as it is, as soon as I heard that song I said to everyone, "We got this... they are playing KG's song"... then right on cue our team MVP nailed a big shot and we dodged a bullet.  Tommy Points for Phil Collins and the Garden sound operator.  Lol

Just as long as they never play "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty ever who played the song during halftime of Superbowl 42 and was played going to a commercial in game 7 of the 2010 Finals.

Funny that you mention this.

I remember looking at everyone in the stands around me, just dancing around like idiots even though our lead had completely evaporated...i was sitting in my chair with my hands on my head getting reeeeal nervous and upset.

And then i looked up at the video, heard the drums, and just literally jumped out of my seat and screamed.  Perfectly timed song/video.  Got me right back into the right mindframe, maybe it worked for the C's too.

Id like to see this commercial redone with KG playing drums, it would be so awesome.

I remember listening to that interview with Holley and ? because it was one of the first and only WEEI interviews KG had done.

He actually called it "In the Heat of the Night".

It was in 2008 because I think they played it during the Finals that year pre-game.
