The winner of our series will officially play Philly in the second round. Giving the Hawks/Celtics homecourt in the second round. Chicago just couldn't get it done without Noah & Rose, sad to see them out so early.

Only sad if the C's can't capitalize on the opportunity

Bringing back memories of Dr J and Larry Bird. Nate Archibald and Mo Cheeks. No answers for Andrew Toney. No answers for Kevin McHale. Robert Parish and Darryl Dawkins(later Moses Malone)...... Dick Stockton calling the games on CBS.... That CBS theme song of the 1980s

Old school Boston Garden and the Old School Spectrum.

Man basketball was never better than Games 5, 6, and 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals of 1981.

This is what I live for.

Honestly I think the Atlanta series is gon be tougher then dis Philly series I watched em closely Philly has a HORRIBLE shot selection nd minimal ball movement I think our last regular season meeting is more indicitive of how dis series will go

Phily was tied for second in assist ratio with San Antonio and Chicago. Boston was number one in the league, Philly moves the ball their issues on offense are more due to how infrequently they get to the free throw line combined with a reliance on long 2s.

Good for Philly. They did want to play the Bulls and they took advantage of the opportunities they got. Knowing our inconsistent team I wouldn't predict an easier series than with ATL. But the best thing about 76ers winning is the unexpected treat of homecourt and the bitterness of Knicks fans wishing they stayed at the 8th seed instead fighting for 7th thinking they could upset the Heat ;D

I think we will have a MUCH easier time with the Sixers then the Hawks.

Sixers are the 8th seed, Hawks the 4th, its obvious Hawks are a better team and we dispatched them in 6 games, coupled with the fact that the Hawks are just a bad matchup for us, we matchup much better with the Sixers and in turn should be able to win the series comfortably.

Philly apparently celebrated their win last night by going to the strip club. Interesting how the young and veteran teams are different ;) Celtics were probably up all night watching film already.

I don't think it will be an easy series, but I have to agree with those who say that they think we matchup better against Philly than against the Hawks.

Of course, Rondo, Garnett, and Pierce always match up well, no matter who we are playing, but I like the chances for our other two starters to get going a little more.  I think the match ups for both Bass and Bradley are a lot more favorable than in the Atlanta series.

This series now gives our bench a chance to do something in Dooling, Sasha and maybe Pietrus can finally get going. The length bothered them against the Hawks.
