Ok, it's time to ask an honest question to this forum.

Is David Stern, in fact, the Blofeld/Dr Evil of sport's commissioners?

Does this man represent all that is wrong with modern day sports?

Do you believe that he's patronizing media primadonnas (insert Kobe, LeBron, yes, even the great Michael). Hiding crooked refs; in fact, coaching 'em secretly  :-\ ?

And was he secretly plotting against Celtics nation since '86?

Not sure about the Celtics in 86 but you really got to consider the Kings game 6 loss to the Lakers in 2002.

This is the most crooked NBA highlight I have ever seen...

Things like what happened to the Kings makes me say yes. But then again I'd have to think we'd see Lebron vs Kobe by know if he could help it. You know he's wanted that for years.

lol at threads like this.

First off, if David Stern was EVIL, we'd be benefiting from it. David Stern would like to see the Lakers Celtics EVERY SINGLE YEAR if he could. Ratings, baby.

Let me help re-frame the question, if Stern's isn't Evil, does he represent Evil?

In other words, by his actions or in-actions, he feeds upon a more primal instinct of man's descent. In other words, by his presence, he invites Evil into the National Basketball League.

Did you guys see how Stern denied that the condensed season had any effect on injuries?

5 games in 6 nights must be good for you, like a credit default swap, a jobless economic recovery, or mandatory insurance without price controls.

Stern's social circle is probably a who's who of predatory bankers parasitic CEOs, and marketing execs.

Seriously, if Stern was discovered to be running a game fixing scheme with Goldman Sachs, would anybody be shocked?

You really have to watch that whole video though. That game was rigged. 27 free throws in the 4th qtr alone? A lot of those weren't fouls. All the no call on Kobe and Shaq, especially the one where Kobe almost broke Bibby's nose... It was horrible. Even the media members like Plashke who cover LA and the Lakers knew it was a robbery.

I don't think the NBA is rigged. I don't. However that individual game was fixed. No question. If stern wasn't behind it then who was? It's not like Donaghy was refereeing it.

People love to bring this up, but I completely disagree with this argument. This isn't the 80's anymore. The vast majority of NBA fans don't care about tradition. It's all about stars. Stern would MUCH rather have LeBron vs. Kobe than Celtics-Lakers, and it's not even close.

Also, as the '08 Celtics showed, it's possible to be good enough to win no matter how biased the refs are. So just by pointing out which team won, that doesn't disprove any officiating bias.

Also, people always refer to that Kings-Lakers game. While something was obviously up with that game, it's not like that was the only one. Game 6 of the '02 Celtics-Nets series was almost just as bad. There were about 8 charges/blocks that were wrongly called in New Jersey's favor in that game, plus a number of other calls. And every time Boston has faced LeBron in the playoffs, it has been worse than the WWE. And need I mention the 4th quarter of Game 7 of the '10 Finals?

It honestly baffles me how there is so much obvious evidence pointing toward this, but people continually shrug it off.

Ooh, I remember all those charge calls Jaon Kidd got in that series.  Man, that made me mad!!

Don't forget a mid-season game against OKC last year where they flat out handed it to Kevin Durant and the Thunder.

The evidence for pure evil is indisputable.

What a crap thread this is!

Ofcourse Stern fixes everything. THat's why the Spurs won 4 championships since 1999, that's why the Pistons beat the Lakers in 2004,that's why we won in 2008, that's why the Mavericks won in 2011, that's why LJ didn't win anything up till now! Do I have to continue?

You people are pathetic, get a life!
