The supposed beef between Paul Pierce and Stephen A Smith

I was watching ESPN First take this morning and apparently Stephan A Smith has a problem with Paul Pierce

I'm paraphrasing but he explained "Paul Pierce is such a closer and no doubt a hall of famer, even though he's not the best person to talk to. Ever since he won a title he got a little cocky. When he was losing he had no problems being nice and talking to reporters"

Sports writers sometimes become too personal with their jobs and play favoritism. They lack objectivity because of their man love for a certain player. Skip Bayless on Tebow, Stephan A Smith on Kobe, Chris Broussard on Lebron, etc.

I think Paul is on the same level of Lebron, Kobe, Wade, etc. Lack of media attention shouldn't define his career

Between his Kobe love, and NYC background, I wouldn't expect any love from him towards Pierce. Hey at least he's not pulling a Jemele Hill and comparing cheering for the Celtics to calling Adolf Hitler a victim.

I actually like Stephen A Smith. He's an entertainment clown. His biases interfere with his analysis.

Smith liked him just fine as far as I can tell when Pierce was on his show and talking about how he was hoping the team would trade for Allen Iverson. Was at that taping with eddietours.  Interesting he likes him when he needs him for a show and not so much now

Stephan Smith does a radio show weeknights from 6-8pm on the Lakers' flagship station for ESPN radio.  He mainly talks about L.A. sports and especially the Lakers.

My brother met Stephan A. before game 1 of the Celtics-Knicks series in front of the Boston Garden last year and said the guy was patient and gracious.

Sad part about Stephen is that he's no idiot...But he plays one on TV.  He frequents the Mark Levin radio talk show and is bright, measured, and very gracious.  When he's on the steven i smith schtick he sounds like an uninformed bombastic idiot.
