wow, between rondo losing his mind and bumping a ref and STAT, mental midgets are setting a new standard this year.

This ain't the 60s, 70s, or 80s. I think "toughness" went by the wayside a long time ago. But the loss isn't A'mare's fault. When the rest of your time doesn't play defense, expect to lose to the Heat everytime.

I understand that Carmelo first attempted to punch the same object, but kept missing.

After several misses, he decided to let Amare have a swing at it.

There's a rumor that he was swinging for a teammate but missed and hit the fire extinguisher.

That would make much more sense to me. Punching the glass is just plain stupid, and Amare does not strike me as that dumb. Punching Melo, now that sounds more like it.

I was actually nervous about Rondo doing something like this in the lockerroom. I know people think these guys are robots but emotions can take over sometimes.

I completely agree with you with that these players are humans.
This was probably Amare's tipping point.
I wish he didn't hurt himself and destroy property though, but I can understand his frustration.

I could definitely see that along with him cursing some players out.

Poor amare. It's sad to see his health issues catch up with him. Just no explosion from the leap or first step like in the past. Back injuries do that though. Those discs are so important. He was a beast last year before the back issues against Boston last year. Compound those with all the knee surgeries and I think his all star days are gone. I'm sure his frustration has a lot to do with his own inability to impact the game like in the past. What an awful contract he is.

I also believe that unless Dwight Howard's game becomes a lot less dependent on his athleticism that his days as a a top 5-10 player are done. He actually ruptured his disc and all that leaping he does will be very hard on his now thinned disc.

Crazy to think that we might have been watching the best of amare, Dwight, and rose all last year.

And that justifys punching a hard object and hurting yourself because.....?

Not sure anyone will take on that terrible contract.
