I just want to suggest that we all consider not watching Game 2 against the Hawks in response to the league suspending Rondo.  The game is on NBA TV, so what better way to protest than to lower NBA TV's ratings and hit the league in the wallet.

To me the fair thing to do would have been to give Rondo a one game suspension in next year's regular season.  A one game playoff suspension is much more severe than a one game regular season suspension.  The NBA is basically exerting heavy influence on the outcome of the series, and I don't think that was the intent of the rule.  People watch the NBA for the great players, like Rondo, not for whistle happy referees.  Let's send the NBA a message.

Pfft... so I'm not going to support the TEAM because one guy is out (his OWN fault)?! If it were Shaq (everyone knows I followed him no matter what) I would never forgo cheering on the team if he was suspended! I want the team to win and I want to support them no matter what, because as long as Shaq was on the team (suspended, benched, or injured), the team winning means he won! Even if everyone on CB "boycotts" the game, how is it going to even bother the ratings from the other millions of views? Yea, bad idea all around!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I'm not boycotting a Celtics game because of something that Rondo was clearly in the wrong with.  I'm sure as heck not boycotting a playoff game.

Unless the Celtics organization is screwing me over somehow, I'm not going to boycott anything Celtic related.

Nah, everyone would have gotten a suspension for that except Kobe and LeBron, so it was fair.

I won't watch another Celtics game that Davis is officiating, though

Oh Yea! Gonna be really hard to NOT watch the End of an Era and the 2nd loss to put the C's down 2-0. Try to keep me away from this one.

/sarcasm

I decided to not watch ANY more C's games this year period! When they gave up on themselves and decide to blow their chances in the first 3 1/2 minutes of game one, I was right there with them...giving up.

I think it's actually very telling to see this whole season played of 66 games, 4 months, ups and downs, to really be summed up and decided in 3 1/2 minutes of one game. Its a shame, but it happened.

No it didn't.

Not by a long shot.

Even Kobe or Lebron would have gotten a game for the chest bump.

Of course I wouldn't boycott -- heck, this is my major source of entertainment and Rondo deserved the suspension.

I applaud the OP's efforts to make a statement to the league (on May 1, no less).

I consciously elected not to renew my League Pass subscription this year after the NBA decided that they could charge customers last year's prices for 75% of the product.

On the flip side, I think Rondo fully deserved that suspension.

I love my man Rondo, but I give up my Chobani for no one! (Smartfood, maybe ... or Mrs. Dunster's Sugared Crescents ... for a day only). ;)

Why? Rondo bumped the ref. Intentional or not, It results in a one game suspension. Why would you boycott a game for the league following its written rule?

I also didnt renew my online league pass. Ridiculous that they would even attempt to charge the same amount.

No way I boycott this game. I want to see my boys destroy this hawks team.
