The refereeing in the NBA is bad, because of the lack of any sort of punishment or reward system for bad/good work, respectively.

That said, anyone who actually thinks the NBA is fixed probably isn't watching. Otherwise the Miami Heat would have won last year.

You didn't give all the details of his punishment. It's true he's only gone for 1 game, but we will now have an officiating crew composed of Crawford, Davis and Bavetta for the next 4 games. In other news, the phrase "at least we're not the Celtics" has been popping up all over various NO Saints blogs.

The Cs have to hold home court and win one game in Atlanta. The Hawks are trying to play with their third string center. I don't know if they have enough to beat the Cs 4 out  of 7 even with Rondo missing a game and Ray Allen possibly out for the series.

Look for the Hawks to have a massive letdown in Game 2.  Also look for Keyon Dooling to have a big game for the Cs (I can't believe I just typed that).

A little surprised he got a suspension but it's fair enough. I thought a large fine would have been more appropriate.

I think the C's (without Rondo) come out and play a really strong and win game two. I think this will help fire them up and keep their focus high ... knowing that they will have very little margin for error with Rondo around.

I think if this were the regular season, it would be more than one game. I also think this has happened often enough that I don't think I can reasonably complain if Rondo gets a longer suspension for a similar incident in the future due to his past history.
