I understand wanting to go with the black and white colors. Makes sense. But I think some of the graphic artists here at CB could have done a better job at doing a logo than this.

The logo, in my opinion, needs some colors.

Well, Jay-Z can do what he wants, I guess. There was another "logo" out there I was looking at a week or two ago that I thought looked much more compelling.

Black and white will be the team uniform colors as well?

Edit: Here's the other "logo": a redesign by Michael Weinstein:

I was kinda hoping they would go back to their roots and go sorta retro like the ABA New York Nets with the red, white, and blue.

That's a good one too, but I like how they kept it simple to start. Everyone will get into it, from teens to grandpa's will be wearing plain black hat "B" .

Apparel photo's just leaked:

this will be the hottest gear in the NBA for years. Book it.

Now that the Red Sox have gone away from their signature "B" as their calling sign and have gone to the double Red Socks as their official logo, I think its a really smart move for Brooklyn to go with the B as their logo. But they could have come up with something better than that.

That's my thinking too.  Those Dodger hats with the B are still selling well (I still see them around anyway), this hat will be an NBA top seller.

I agree Brooklyn is hot right now...kids named Brooklyn, pets named Brooklyn..lots of artists and music centered there.  & just as i love the C's simple green and white,  black & white works 4 me.
