With the leniency in the suspension to Artest, i can only hope we get the same treatment for Rondo.

Well if Rondo is suspended, Marc Davis should also get suspended.  That incompetent jerk shouldn't get to influence any more games.

The other thing i didn't like was how close mark davis was to the scrum. Was it neccesary to stick his nose in there that close? It was like he needed the spotlight on himself.

The ref bumped Rondo's chest. Anyone can see that. Except maybe a blind ref.  ;)

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I believe it was intentional even with the tripping.

Although, like the TNT analyst have said, it resulted because of a bad call that really took the game out from us. This is the PLayoffs, those ticky tacky fouls off of loseballs are not supposed to be called. Emotions got the best of Rondo. And I believe (crossed fingers) the league won't suspend him because of that.

Some of you people are too funny... had it been a Hawk (JJ or JS) then all of you would be screaming for one game!

RR is so childish, this is the playoffs (most important)... YOU DON'T TOUCH THE REFS!!!!!!! If he gets a suspension, he DESERVES it!!! I don't want to lose RR for any game but he needs to grow up! You cant just say "heat of the moment" deal because a bunch of refs would be knocked clean out if we let things slide because of that!

RR just doesn't care how important he is (or he thinks he is), if he can't behave better when things are soo critical!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Far worse than what occurred goes on in every NBA scrum for a loose ball. To, at that moment, in this playoff game, call a foul is absolutely deserving of a livid response. To then be so quick to throw out the T is a clear case of referee excitement. And I would truly say this no matter the team.

What actually irritates me is how quick people around here are to condemn with the harshest language possible the one guy who came to play tonight. Fiery determination, that wins you games, comes with righteous anger. Don't pretend to idolize Bird, Russell, Parish, et al and then condemn Rondo. You can't have it both ways. It was a miracle, and different era, that Parish wasn't ejected, that McHale stayed in the game, that saw Bird throw a ball at Lambier's head. Don't be a hypocrite and condemn Rondo just to try and be the most objective, sanctimonious guy on the blog.

this deserves many TPs! Rondo was the only guy that came to play and just lost his cool when he saw the ref rip the game away from them.

!!!Would you believe it if I told you I wouldn't want to see a Hawk suspended for that either? Maybe not, but it is true. The only thing the quick T's accomplish is not allowing the players to exist as human beings. The ref's shouldn't be so touchy and let a player in a playoff game express emotion. Walk away. Be the bigger human being. No player on any team deserves the tech or the suspension there. Of course, many will say I am being a homer but I hold that to be true for any player on any team.

And I am quickly growing sick of praising emotion on one hand and chastising the very same thing on the other.

I wouldn't be screaming for suspension for anyone on any team in this scenario. I hate the draconian NBA rulings for all and for everyone.

Just watched it and it was foolish, plain and simple.

1 game suspension nothing more, nothing less.

I can see what people mean about this ref though, loves the spotlight. Plays it up for the crowd. ::)

If Rondo gets suspended for this bump, I expect Marc Davis also get suspended for being totally incompetent. and the same to happen to every ref who ruins games and even a whole series...

oh wait, after a week's time there would be no refs remaining to officiate the games... ::)

I don't care if he willed us to victory, you don't touch a ref!!! You cant pretend that isn't a rule just because someone played well!!! I was so talking the whole game about how RR was the only one trying to win, doesn't mean his actions need to be excused! The same people arguing for RR would be all up in arms if it was our competitor! This isn't because we are trying to seem like we aren't biased, some people think rules like this one especially, should be enforced no matter who it is! If they let people touch refs in anger then there would be no end because EVERYONE and their mother have wanted to hit a ref (I wanted to do more than bump the ref there, but I'm not a professional and a KEY piece of a team)!!!
