Atlanta have not looked impressive. They just had a hot-start and built a lead while Boston played well below their normal standard.

The Celtics will make a run in the second half and this game will be there for Boston to win.

Pathetic first half. Still clinging to the game. Sort of.

Bradley clanging shots that Ray would've hit...
you mean COULD'VE hit.  Ray was no guarantee by any stretch.  he was just as prone to a night of bricklaying as the rest of them.  AND Ray wouldn't be cutting to the basket for scores like Bradley has.

The play by Garnett is something Ray played for years before even Bradley arrived. That's their special play.
may be, but still no guarantee Ray hits it.  He's had plenty of off nights, especially in the playoffs.  The C's are a better team with him but he would not have them in the lead if he was playing.

Of course there is no guarantee. You can even miss dunks as a basketball player. That doesn't change the fact that he is our best shooter, though.
not disagreeing with anything you just said.  just the initial commentary implying Ray would have been automatic on those shots.

I feel great about this game. Great start to the test and lets see if Bradley and Steimsma can maintain their composure. This was the biggest questionmark going into the playoffs. Could our new pieces rise to the challenge, they look like they are.

We will come back to win this game.

Stiemer's been one of the C's best players out there.

Yep. I think all the Celtics environment underestimated the Hawks.
The Celtic in me.

KG: 1-9

Bradley: 3-10

Bass: 0-0 and 2 rebounds in 13 minutes

All 3 are unacceptable

let's see what we can do in the second half.  if KG, PP and Bass show up this half, a win isn't impossible

The most interesting one is Bass.
I mean, you can miss shots and have off days. But no shots in an entire half? Puzzling.

I know I didn't. They took the favorites the win it all in 08 to 7 games and have always played this team well to the last seconds of the game.
