Will the league take in consideration that the official made a very bad call?

  • It's not hard to work hard.
That first T for Rondo was extremely quick--last 3 minutes of a playoff game, right after a tough call...I don't know if that tech gets given to a lot of other all stars.

Still, Celts were awful in the 1Q and still made it a game. Every game in the playoffs is tough, but every game is a new game. This board learns that every year, and forgets it every year. C's just got to take 1 game in ATL, doesn't matter which one.

I don't see the Hawks winning 4 out of 7 against us.

I don't have any excuses for this lost. Besides Rondo and Steamer no one showed up to play. They opened with no energy and played lethargic until the last minutes. Atlanta was more hungry and pumped for this win and you could see it. I knew not to get confident because the Hawks did the same thing last year to Orlando and took Boston to 7 games in 08.
Rondo's bump was intentional. I understand his anger because the reffing by Marc Davis was horrible, but he should've kept his composure. Now he maybe out for game 2 and he's an important piece in winning. If he doesn't get suspended, then he needs to thank his lucky stars and go out there and play out of his mind.

I hope the rest of the team shows up Tuesday and I hope for a win.

I guess in their defense the player has to keep their composure no matter what. but even the most stoic player would have trouble keeping their feelings under wraps the way it came down to those calls in a playoff game and in the heat of the moment.

Bottom line though, you can't touch the ref.

Only if there was a blatant case where the ref was partially responsible for escalating the issue.

what is wrong with being a homer..? WHAT do you want...heat of the moment....rondo waqnted that call...then got po's by the T...he was battling all night....so he had a hard time stopping there......so what.....it wasn't his fault everyone missed every 3 all night...adjust your focus.....what..you want to trade him now...LOL....for the guys who still never did better..?

Absolutely inexcusable, stupid, selfish, immature loss of composure from a player whose maturity has always been in question.

WADR, the excuses don't wash here. Rondo has a responsibility to his team to maintain his composure over a call we could have played through. Instead, he did the one thing that every person who ever puts on a uniform understands they cannot do - intentionally make contact with an official. Absolutely inexcusable.

He TOTALLY let his team, his coaches and ownership down tonight. He should be suspended, and perhaps if he is, he'll finally grow up and understand the importance of professional conduct on the floor.

I missed the game.  Rondo suspended ??????  OMG  ???

Rondo suspended ????

Ok...glade I missed this.... well,. I guess thats the end of series, the end run,  ...can't even play a decent game against the Hawks , then we just don't belong in the hunt.

No Rondo.. what the heck""".. If its true ...Pack it in  , hand over the keys to STERN and THE HEAT

I give up,  blow up the team  and lets hang a banner in Miami for LeBron.

Just another classic playoff game with awful officiating.  Ah, the postseason how I have missed you.

Gosh, didn't realize I had accidentally gone to sanctimonious, battle to see who can the most willfully (falsely) objective blog.

I am a bit surprised, though not truly, by all the condescending, belittling Rondo comments. The one guy who actually came to play tonight, who played hard and well, and after a b.s. call gets a little agitated is now an embarrassment?  Give me a break. The embarrassing thing is the rush to bury the guy with harsher and harsher language by all the people here who rush to praise Bird, who threw a ball at another players head (among other things), Parish (we all know), DJ, et al. It is a joke and the rush to be the most objective, most condemning is also a joke.

Rondo was the only guy who came to play early.   We played "cute" tonight and it cost us.

Davis is the worst NBA ref without a doubt.
