Pick Anthony Davis

Trade a package that can include anybody from that roster other than Kemba, Henderson (can be a good 6th man) and Biyombo to get another 1st rounder to get one of the following (1st on the list, the better)

Kidd - Gilchrist
Tiny Wroten Jr (he plays the point so Kemba becomes the SG, but he defends opponents SG's)
Tyler Zeller
Meyers Leonard
Terrence Ross

If not able to get Zeller or Leonard, trade Mullens and a future 2nd to Denver for Koufos. Try to offer a lot of money for Batum or Jeff Green, if it did not work Sam Young is fine.

They'll be good in the next few years. At least on my NBA 2k12 they are.

But seriously, Jordan just needs to hire people who knows stuff and not keep his "yes" men.

Well, it's not like Bird has been a stellar front office person either (though this year he seems like he's finally gotten a good team together, but I don't think anyone thinks the Pacers will ever contend).  Just goes to show that great players don't automatically make great front office guys.

Well, it's not like Bird has been a stellar front office person either (though this year he seems like he's finally gotten a good team together, but I don't think anyone thinks the Pacers will ever contend).  Just goes to show that great players don't automatically make great front office guys. 

Really?  Bird's no Popovich but he put together an excellent, championship contending team that got completely derailed by the Palace Brawl. Then he spent the next few years breaking that team up and rebuilding with character guys (not easy) and now has a second successful young team that could contend in the near future. 

That's two more good squads than Jordan put together in Charlotte or DC, and the Pacers never bottomed out nearly as hard as either.

anyway, the bobcats are absolutely horrendous and they need all the help they can get. Things arent looking good no matter who they draft. I love how each time its their turn for sportscenter highlights they literally just make fun of the team. Its bad, but hilariously funny.

The team has done very well this year, but I think they haven't been happy with past year's and ultimately this year's success hasn't been enough.

Well, yeah that's pretty much in line with how the lottery works.

Worst record = 25% at the top pick. So that's about average for 16 years of weighted lotteries, but then again it didn't used to be as top heavy before Orlando won the number one pick two years in a row.

iont think they're gonna get the number 1 pick my guess is the hornets since the CP3 trade happened kinda how the cavs got 2 top 5 picks last year

I'm not saying Larry Bird is a terrible front office guy.  My point was simply that great players don't automatically translate into great front office guys.  And in my opinion, Bird is probably a middle of the road front office guy.

When he became the President in '03, the Pacers made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.  Since then, they made it to the playoffs just 3 times, only getting out of the first round when they beat us in '05 (and that was more to do with us melting down than the Pacers actually being the better team).  

Again, I wasn't trying to say anything that most people wouldn't find obvious: Larry Bird doesn't have the same greatness as a front office guy that he had as a player.

He's certainly better than MJ though.

Hopefully they get the same fate we did when we tanked for the ridiculous overt tanking they did.

Teams that don't attempt to compete should lose the pick altogether.

It's also a little harder to compete as a GM when the playing field is level...Unlike when Jordan was a player.
