I wasn't super impressed with him this year at Baylor. But he was very highly ranked (#4) in his high school class. He missed most of his senior year of HS with a knee injury so his freshman year at baylor may not have been a good indication of his talent.

Will likely be around when the Cs are picking. Would definitely be a high potential pick.

I am not sure he will be around when the C's are picking.  But either way it is a good thing.  He is an interesting prospect for the C's, if he is on the board, and if he isn't he will just push other players down toward the C's.  Win-win.

Oh, yeah--Miller could be draft candy to Danny for sure.  He doesn't turn 20 until late November, but he could be a great-sized, high-potential replacement for Pierce in training.

Kind of like a Bradley pick for the 3, but with exceptional length for his position.

I sure hope Miller is still on the board when we pick. The future could be very bright with Rondo, AB and Miller!

i'd be extremely oprn to miller. kinda reminds me of an avery bradley type project.

extremely talented and has great length. if memory serves me right, i believe he was coming off some sort of surgery this year so me might not have been truly 100% this season.

i would definitely not have any problem with drafting miller.

I'd be very happy if the Celtics could select him, although I don't like the their chances.  He didn't look anywhere close to being even reasonably healthy last season, which is understandable since he tore his ACL on 12/10/10.  Even while looking slow and tentative, his high skill level and basketball IQ were evident.  If he can regain the athleticism he showed in videos before tearing his ACL, he has high lottery talent.

People always say that Perry Jones can be a SF, which I disagree with because his ballhandling didn't look anywhere near good enough.  But Miller is the real deal in terms of being very tall and long for the SF position and having the requisite skills.

If the Celtics manage to grab Quincy Miller, I'd be thrilled.  If they manage to grab both Miller and Arnett Moultrie, I'd be ecstatic.

I'm looking for long-term potential.  No reaches like Giddens, no high-floor low-ceiling guys.  We need to find pieces to build around.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
He's a no brainer at our range, and if he's not around for us it's ok because he makes the draft deeper.

Certainly nothing but good news for the Celtics. Even if we don't take him or even have the chance to take him, the more fringe-lottery players there are in this draft, the better off the Celtics are.

I'm on board with this as well. These are low risk high reward picks. They are not superstar of the future picks, but they are sure as heck could be either solid off the bench players or starters in the future.
