Marquis, I think you have to be a superstar to get away with wearing those shoes.

Although I like his effort, Bass is not a back to the basket player.

Unless he has Rondo setting him up with pick and pops he's an average offensive player.

On a fair contract I can see the C's bringing him back but Ainge knows better than overpay for role players like Bass. A one or two year deal is ideal.

Do you think the Celtics should resign him or try to upgrade?

If KG comes back, I feel like you have to try to bring Bass back for 2 years (even if overpaying for those 2 years). There just aren't going to be a whole lot of other options in this free agent class.

IMO, you look to upgrade first. I'd take Kris Humphries over him. Probably could get him for similar money.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
