Been hearing a lot of people (not just on here) saying that JJ and ETwuan were huge misses and we couldve had Marshon and Isaiah Thomas. Keep in mind we were saying the same things about AB this time last year and now he's probably a top 10 player from his draft class (if not, hes close). Dont give up on the Boiler Ballers before they get their chance to shine!

I perfectly agree. We should stick to them. Every player needs confidence to boost up his performance. Confidence is gathered by playing significant minutes in significant games. The ability to play significant minutes can be gotten by playing your heart out. JJ and ET have a lot of heart and that's what I like about them.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

  • You say when......
Moore has the look that Bradley had earlier, when he wasn't playing much. Tentative, trying to prove himself, yet be "in the system" hard to do in 3-5 minutes....and not much practice time to show anything either. JJJ has shown me a lot of things i like to see. Very fast, mobile, hops too. Enthused about shot-blocking ( maybe thank steamer for showing that, that is a way in) jjj can shoot, and defend..i think. Before you criticise this and these guys, factor in the KNOWN non-practice, short season or just not doing it, whatever, it isn't happening...there is a lot to the C's system. Do they all look chaotic when they go in...duh, they never get to practice the system, there usually isn't anyone else out there ( vets ) with them, and they are trying to play team ball, yet show their skills...you try that in a game..in 3 minutes. Garbage time is rough. Playing with and against the most unpolished, most athletic desperado's...! I am sure jjj will be a player, moore...as a pg, i need to see....MORE, of him, that is a tough position.

I see Moore developing into a Dooling sort of player...backup Point guard who can put some points on the board. and control the game when the starter is sitting...maybe 5ppg, 3APG

if Johnson can put some muscle on his frame, he can be a nice PF. offensively he has a nice game. but he just gets pushed around too often.

Both of them belonged in the D league this year. Neither is remotely ready to contribute to an NBA contender.

My hope is that Danny will draft more astutely this year.

I'm okay with Moore as a late 2nd rounder.  Some worries about 3J, but I think we need to give him next year before concluding anything about him.

I agree they should be in the d-league getting some run. However, it is too soon to call them bad picks yet. We need to have some patience with our draft picks and not expect them to get it the second they stepped on the floor. Bradley is a prime example, it took him a year and a half. Let give them some time.

How many rookies are there out there who are currently contributing to an NBA contender?

The only thing dynamic about this duo so far is how dynamic the other team's lead gets to grow when they're on the court.

And one camparison for JJJ's body type is Camby..they said he was too skinny...then he led the league in rebounds...the ball don't care how skinny you are, if you have the nose for it, it is where you know it is. There aren't many ball "getters" in this league..! A rebounder and shot blocker is more valuable than most know...unless you have played some, then you'd know.

Jujuan really needs to eat and stay in the weight room this summer. He looks smaller than some of the guards (muscle wise) when he is out there.

The faith that they'll do what exactly?

Right now they're unproven rookies who have potential and hopefully will become valuable to our team (either as players or trade bait).

There are too many people on the far ends of the spectrum and not enough people considering the middle ground: Both guys have talent, but neither is ready to contribute.

Doc thinks the guys ahead of them are better (even when those guys under perform). On the flip side, when they do see a few minutes and struggle, it doesn't mean that the duo will never develop.

They are projects who haven't had a lot of time to get used to the NBA game. Neither guy even has a position yet. Moore is a combo guard trying to learn point and JJJ is a tweener whose insanely athletic but physically immature.

You also have to take into account that we ARE a team with championship aspirations. Whether you believe that or not, the veterans on the team do, and they probably don't want to see Doc experimenting with bringing along young guys to the possible detriment to their last run.

It is true, we could've had Marshon Brooks and Isaiah Thomas.  They both could've came here and sat the pine like E'tuan Moore & Jajuan Johnson have this year.

No way either of them get playing time on a stacked team such as this.  They'll get the time on a Kings or Nets team, just like E'tuan & JJJ would see their time.

We took JJJ because he is 6 10. If he was 6 6 we would have kept Brooks.  People who complain about that deal are blind.

I was never honestly in love with either of these picks but given the lack of summer camp, shortened preseason, condensed schedule and lack of practice time, it just is way too illogical to come to definitive opinions about either player's future.

That said, neither has been very impressive this year and really should have been in the D-League the minute they could have been playing there. Unfortunately, with all the injuries, the C's had to keep them on the roster.
