Why does Golden State have so many national TV games?

I know that they have an exciting brand of basketball (or at least it was in recent years) but they have not made the playoffs in years. How on earth do they have so many nationally televised games? It just feels like the NBA is trying to oversell them.

I know they want Curry to become a superstar but at what cost?? SMH

They're a true west coast team (as opposed to say Memphis or the Texas teams), so for the late games they are a natural team that can bring a large viewing base.

I believe that you re correct, but however I have not seen Golden State on national tv yet this season.

Most of them me have been on NBATV, 6, and the rest on TNT, 3. One of those is yet to come on the last day of the season.

Besides the west coast, they're usually a fairly entertaining team to watch - this past couple months obviously excluded.
