  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
TRADE RAY FOR DEMAR DEROZAN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

Also trade Rondo for Uzoh, Pierce for James Johnson, and Kevin Garnett for *snicker snicker* Aaron Gray.

---------------------------

I don't like how all of our starters played 30+ minutes...

JuJuan and E'Twuan were just chillin' on the bench...

We got destroyed on the boards so badly...(37-50)

I guess they just wanted it more...It's a shame...

Toronto - .871% FT%, 27-31

I like Marcus Smart

If this team wins the next eleven in a row, then we talk about a second round matchup and this disappears from the radar screen. Toronto must have wanted to win this game more than the Celtics. Maybe they will put a little more effort tomorrow.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

LOL at Nick and eja.... ;D

Epic thread.

We were due for one of these, so I'm good.

PHI lost too, so it's not too bad.

Imagine how THEIR fanbase must be right now...starting off 20-9 and since then they are 11-19 - playing themselves to the 8th spot after NY won tonight.

Not mad at BOS in the slightest with all things considered. It's been quite a run - and we have a few more months to go.

Go ahead and get these last two games out of your systems, BOS - still got quite a bit of season left.

I'm certainly not going to overreact, but this was a shame.  It would still be nice to finish with the fourth best record in the East.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that even if we get the fourth seed based on winning the division, if the fifth seed has a better record than us, they get home court advantage in the first round.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

No applause please ....I saw it comming....it was a huge trap game...and the starters really gave a half hearted effort ...

sorta like going to dinner when your mother n law comes over , you hate it , but you go though the motion ...your committed.

Celtics got on plane, arrived when out on the court , made an appearance and departed.

Celtics were committed.

I honestly think that if Ray was there tonight, we would have won this game. He would have hit some threes to give us a much better cushion. It would have kept some of Toronto's defenders much more honest, and we probably wouldn't have needed to fight back nearly as much as we did, if we would have even gotten down by so much in the first place.

I think it's less than 50/50 that we get home court advantage against the Hawks because of this fiasco.  To do so we're going to have to expend a lot of energy, so I don't think it's a small deal. We probably weren't going to catch the Pacers, but we've guaranteed that now and a 2nd round match-up against the Bulls IF we get past ATL (as well as missing a 1st round matchup vs the Magic),

Actually, the Cs would probably better off conceding HCA to ATL and start resting starters.  We've got 4 more games in 5 nights that we would really would have to win and ATL's got 3 pretty easy games if they don't screw off against the Craptors (twice) and DET, like we did, before next Friday.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
They turned it on, and it was too little too late I'm afraid.
Raptors shoot that well maybe 5 games a year too. Bad combination.

We were due for a loss. Hopefully sends a message for the next 2 games and we hammer nets/bobcats.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

The Sixers lost to the Nets tonight so this loss really doesent mean much, we werent going to catch Indiana for the 3rd either way.

Im worried about the Nets, they are fresh off a win over the Sixers and they are a talented team, I see us going 1-2 on this road trip with a win over the Bobcats but I can easily see us going 0-3. We just dont have enough gas in the tank.

Bobcats don't even have a tank.

Yea but if the C's have even less energy then they have tonight (lets be honest, they will be running on fumes at this point) then the Bobcats will crush them just like the Raptors did tonight.

Bobcats are on pace to shatter the all-time worst winning percentage in an NBA season if they lose all of their remaining games.
I hope we are not going to be their saviors.

If the Bobcats lose the rest of the games, they'd beat the '72 Sixers by .3%, so I don't know if that could be considered shattering the record. If they win one more game, they won't have the record.

The Raptors didn't shoot well at all. The Raptor's eFG% for the game was 39.6% which is well below their season average of 47.7%.

I thought we played fine early.  DOc tinkered with the rotations probably hoping the bench could get extended minutes, but it didn't work out.  By the time the team tried to "get it in gear", it was too late.  THey still managed to pull it to 1 (in part due to the refs giving us a hand).  Kinda inevitable... this was our 3rd game in 4 nights.  The team is probably gassed already and they still have 4 games in 5 nights coming up.  Turns out when you go 150% for 3 weeks straight, it takes a lot of energy.  We'll be fine.  Probably should rest the starters tomorrow and hope for the best.  This schedule could end up killing us.

Avery Bradley is making me a believer.

Quick. Someone get the stats for games on Friday 13th . .
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

It's disappointing that we don't win the games we're supposed to. We're a stubborn old team who makes things harder than necessary.

We're likely going to make the playoffs and I feel like the team is willing to take on all comers, but things like seeding and home court advantage do matter.

  • It's all about the TEAM!

Gonna give you a TP for that one.

Everybody acts like we should win every game every time and when we drop a turd, the sky is falling and this team can't win jack!

I seen quite the opposite for awhile now and I think we can be just fine when it matters. Come on, we just got done beating some of the NBA's most elite on National TV and showing people this team still will be a thorn in anyone's side in the playoffs.

There are NO undefeated teams.

Teams do lose to bad teams occasionally. Even Charlotte has 7 wins and I'd have to ask how did that happen???

Come playoff time, I have no doubt we'll be the most jacked up energetic team who looked like they just drank a case of Mountain Dews and they're ready to come at teams like a bunch of Spider-Monkeys!

I just have to roll my eyes at the non-believers.

::)
The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer

I'd much rather lose to bad teams and beat the good ones than the other way around. I don't really care if we have HC the first round or not. We should be able to beat the Hawks/Magic with relative ease either way.
