In American box scores, the 3-for-16 counts the 3 pointers.  (Europe does it differently, counting 2 point FGs and 3 point FGs separately.)

Rondo struggled scoring, and he forced it for awhile, but he made up for it with the rebounds and the assists.  For the most part, he made smart decisions and got the ball to the guys in the best position to score.

pierce also had a pretty poor game offensively...but its understandable...the guys looked tired out there from that emotional win over Miami

and despite that/the horrible officiating they still beat Atlanta

He's been consistently bringing it defensively and rebounding while playing QB like Tom Brady out there...

I cant remember the last really bad Rondo defensive gamble that compromised the team defense.

When he plays like that, scoring is gravy.

I was at the game tonight and unfortunately the stats section on the jumbotron stopped working in the 3rd quarter.  I knew he had a lot of assists but I'm surprised to see it was 20.  I had no idea that he even had a triple double until I got home and saw this thread.  Very cool.  I've been lucky enough to catch a few great Rondo performances live, the best being "the Elbow" game in last years playoffs against Miami.

What if he scored 24 points on 10-16 with 8 assists. That'd be 14 more points from scoring and at least 24 fewer points for the rest of the team. Outstanding.

anyone know why rondo ran to the locker room after the game? he seemed upset.
