Avery has a lot to do with this because as the story noted, neither of our guards needs help.  There is virtually no penetration which means that everyone else can just play their man.

I agree with this.  Avery has really surprised me.  I had no idea he would turn out this good, especially how bad he looked last season.

I think since he actually plays with some intensity. the other players feed right off of his and garnetts defensive energy. Its a great thing and has really showed in our overall play.

lol knew somebody would take offense to that comment not blasting Doc at all what I'm saying is once Rondo was out for those couple weeks forget for what, is when AB showed us what he's capable of and in turn Doc built up HUGE confidence in him. If not for that straetch we probably don't see Bradley permanently in the starting lineup, no? He still would see the floor but probably not as much as he is now.
If that's what you meant, perhaps that's what you should have said? Because the paragraph above has nothing to do with your original statement, especially "don't see Bradley at all". The only way to not see Bradley at all would have been to not watch the games.

Anyways you still are crediting the wrong injury. Look at his minutes immediately after Rondo's missed time, they go right back backup PG type minutes, with maybe a few more at SG. (only 2 or 3 per game typically)

He didn't even play all that great as our starting PG, he was good defensively but offensively Pierce had to play point forward and sometimes he got pressured effectively.

His starting gig is a result of Allen's injury which conincided with Pietrus's concussion.

Well it wasn't just Ray's injury when Rondo went down Bradley was able to show in that stretch he's capable of locking down starting PG's and up until now earned the team and coaching staffs trust. He wasn't just "eased" in like you said injury was a big part of it.
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

Probably true that it enhanced his standing in Doc's eyes, but again he was already playing before Rondo's injury and went right back to the same role after the injury.

My whole plan/prayer for beating the Bulls in the playoffs is to use Avery Bradley and Rondo to give Rose PTSD.

face it foks...AB is young and is doing what he does because he CAN .... he has the energy to PLAY BOTH sides of the ball full speed ...balls to the walla 40 minutes every night...not many players facing him can absorb this type of punishment ...  WADE looks OLD playing AB at 30 . Sorry  WAde but YOUR age is showing too when you gotta play this kid.

Bradley is a wild man..... like Wade was when he played ball with Shaq....run a way unstoppable energy.

I ;m still thinking AB is going to get better , as a shooter and a ton better as A play maker.

I say we ride AB as deep into the playoffs as we can !!!

once Pietrus comes back, thats another solid defensive wing that we can throw at wade/Lebron..thats something we never really had last year in the playoffs against them

That's definitely true, but I think Rondo's injury let him sink or swim out there and it's hard to tell if his confidence would've bloomed otherwise.

I do think Doc was stingy for far too long about combining Rondo/Bradley(seriously took for every wing on the roster to get banged up sans Pierce), but we're rolling now!
