If he had been playing as of late all season, I think absolutely yes, but he hasn't. I think he still might have a shot at it. He defense is well reknown by the players now. Thoughts?

I don't think he'll get it primarily because he hasn't gotten enough court time this year.  I think he's on a lot of people's radar for next year though.

nah , maybe if he started all year, but i think the order goes

PG 1ST Team- Rondo
PG 2ND Team- cp3
pg 3rd team - westbrook

1st team- wade

Weak how Wade and Kobe, who have giant defensive lapses, are ahead of Tony Allen.

TA is easily the best defensive SG.

If he continues to play lights out and Memphis fades or Tony gets hurt I could see Bradley maybe beating him out.

Love the EFFORT this kid puts in. On the court and off. Would not bet against him continuing to improve.

Alas, I said this several months ago and was laughed out of the chat..

For All-Defense, there isn't a third team.  Also, I don't believe All-Defense breaks down guards between PGs and SGs.

I'd say he has only a slightly better chance than we do at making the all defensive team.

I think Avery Bradley is an all defensive caliber defender, but he simply hasn't played enough minutes to warrant consideration.  Heck, what about Stiemsma?
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

He'll be in the conversation if the Celtics close out the season very well by exceeding expectations over this last stretch of games and if he gets a lot of credit for it as a defense-oriented sparkplug.  It's hard to be considered when you don't play at least 28 mpg, though not impossible, as Tony Allen showed.

No chance at all.
However I'm pretty excited about next season bradley & rondo together.  A little more time to learn from Rondo & KG is going to make Bradley even better.  His foot speed going backwards and side to side is amazing.  His strength is man on defense where kg & rr can teach him more about passing lanes, shifts and forcing his man into doubles.
I hope by playoff time both bradley & steimsma have shaken off the whistle calls by refs for age factor and start getting the calls everyone else does.

Even if Bradley started every game this year I dont think he would get the credit her deserves to make on of the defensive teams.

If the defensive awards don't separate PG and SG, I think he may have a shot at it with more consistent minutes and a larger role next year. This year, his play has been too inconsistent.

If he IS going for the award as a SG though, I don't think he belongs in the conversation. Against SGs, I don't think he's a top level defender. His height + lack of strength gives his opponents as much of an advantage as his quickness and tenacity takes away. We've already seen Henderson, Hayward, and other bigger players take advantage of their size against him.

I can't see AB ever matching TA (or wade, Kobe, lebron, or sefaloshas) defensive prowess against SGs.
