Honestly if we were going this route

It wouldn't be terrible

but we'd also be willing to give up Pierce for a 1st rounder...maybe to houston?

Then we could go offer roy hibbert/deron williams max offers let KG, Ray and bass walk

that way we'd have 5 1st rounders

Maybe draft Harrison Barnes, Rivers, Sullinger, Terrance Jones, Festus Ezeli

We could package our two 2nd rounders to enter the late 1st round and also grab Fab Melo

Our roster would look
PG: Deron Williams
SG: Austin Rivers/Bradley
SF: Barnes/Jones
PF: Sullinger/Green
C: Fab Melo/Ezeli

that wouldn't be too bad but again unlikely because its too much of an overhaul

At this point I wouldn't trade Rondo for Green Eggs and Ham....I wouldn't trade him, Sam I Am.

I wouldn't trade him for a flight. I wouldn't trade him for Dwight.

I wouldn't trade him for two picks, I wouldn't trade him for three picks.

I wouldn't trade him for Paul. I wouldn't trade him at all.

I wouldn't trade him with his quirks. I wouldn't trade him for Perk.

I would not trade him for green eggs and ham, I wouldn't trade Rajon Rondo, Sam I am. ;D.

Hey why don't we trade the whole team for first and second rounders and go from being the Boston Celtics to being the "NBA Draft Wildcats"....

You guys really wanna be the Washington wizards huh?

Wow, people are crazy.  Rondo's 16 straight games (and counting) with 10+ assitsts is something that hasn't been done in 20 years.

TRADE HIM?   ::)

Meadowlark_Sca: You need to lay off the ellipses, maybe forever. Also stop talking down to people so much. We're just fans talking shop here. I love Rondo too. Stay calm.

I personally wouldn't trade Rondo for two 1sts. I think Rondo is an MVP caliber PG. When his head is in the game he picks apart the best defense in the NBA. Trading him for unproven talent is too big of a gamble even if you get 2 tries. Assuming we get NO's 1st rounders at #3 and #10 I don't think we recoup what Rondo is worth to our team. He knows our offense, he plays hard defense, he has championship pedigree and he is cheap as dirt for an all-star PG. At best we get Gilchrist and Rivers and maybe that is worth it. On the other hand we have a young, proven and talented PG playing out of his mind for our team right now.

On top of all of that the 2012 free agent class isn't very deep. Assume we trade rondo and strike out on Williams (likely) and Dragic. Nash isn't coming here. Who is left? Felton? Nelson? The PG and the C positions are the most important ones on an NBA team. We have a top 5 PG on our team and we should keep him. Let's get a center.

Last year's #3 was Enes Kanter. He is playing well but #10 was Jimmer Fredette and he is not. In 2010 it was Derrick Favors at #3 and Paul George at #10. Neither are game changers like Rondo is. In 2009 it was James Harden at #3 and Brandon Jennings at #10. That is comparable but there is no guarantee we cash in like that. Additionally no one of those players is as good as Rondo. Maybe the 2009 draft puts you in the same skill/value discussion but it's not like that is a sure thing this draft. In Rondo we have a sure thing for a great price. Let's get a center to help KG out and move the Celtics forward.

Nope, I would not unless one of them was Anthony Davis.
