Man the Bulls just took the wind out of our sails.  Thibs really highlighted our major weaknesses tonight.

No post play and horrendous defensive rebounding.

I could barely watch anymore once the Bulls got the lead it was game over.  I was really worried about the first few minutes of the 3rd. I thought if the Celts could somehow extend it they could win the game but the Bulls scored 6 straight and the Celts looked Gassed.

I know they could have played better if they were rested, but imagine if Rose is in this game.  We would have no shot.

Celts are in tough come playoffs.  Just can't see how we score enough easy hoops...

Celtics had 2 days off before San Antonio and scored an identical 86 points...

That game didn't frustrate me because of their effort. However, it's the opposite tonight. They seems to be playing on LaLa Land.

No, we can't.

The lack of an inside game and the seeming inability to rebound (supported by statistics) have been endemic of this team. They are glaring failings that any relatively capable team in the playoffs can exploit.

Even with the Celtics' stifling defense, those opponents that can dominate on the offensive boards can counteract said defense with second/third chance points (as evidenced by tonight).

This team will not go far in the playoffs and I hope to god that Rivers and Ainge seriously contemplate how to address their issues, be it scheme or personnel, in the off season.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I would rather this team not make the playoffs at all for the chance at better draft pickings.

Doc's much better at coddling his veteran starters than at maintaining the confidence of his bench players.  Stiemer got shut out of the second half of the Spurs game with Doc opting to go with a 3-PG lineup instead.

And we nearly won...doc used it to match pops rotations which were smaller
