I hate it but I can't argue its effectiveness against that Spurs team that just was not ready for it.

True, I guess its effectiveness is probably more related to the fact that the Spurs hadn't seen it or anticipated it - though i'd be suprised if a coach like Pop didn't have some inkling after finding out Ray was going to play.

The 3rd quarter seems like a great time to delpoy that unit, but yeah you can't close out games with it.  That Duncan offensive rebound and kick out to Neal for the 3 was a real killer.

That happenned after KG literally passed it right to stephen jackson

I love small ball because we get crushed on the boards....on a nightly basis regardless of our height.

With small ball, at the very least we will have the speed advantage....possibly causing more turnovers to start our fastbreak....

You know, play to Rondo's strength.....

Also, we can't get Ray open in the half court anymore, so Ray's best opportunities are on the break.

And...Paul was not getting the calls last night so if we could speed up the game, Paul could have had more opportunities to attack when their defense wasn't set.

I like the lineup and the ball pressure.   Speed kills!

  • You say when......
Well, it can be good...but that wasn't really the right mix....peitrus made it better before...you need VERY fast guys..Ray Allen isn't one of them anymore...and bass cannot do what BBD MIGHT have done to duncan...bbd would body him more, keepnig dincan way out..if anything, that is what bbd could do that bass doesn't....along with consistant rebounding ( or rebounding desire).
