What we are seeing and learning

As much as it's not fun to see the Cs lose a close game at home I am really thrilled at what we have been seeing.

I don't think that we have seen this much passion during the regular season (for a string of games in a row) in a while.

More importantly, we are seeing a less conservative Doc and a variety of different line-ups. Injuries have caused the team to find new ways to cope with hardship and all of this experience is valuable.

I cannot predict what will happen next but I have a feeling that this team is well equipped to compete against the different types of teams in the league (e.g. Lakers, Heat ...).

Can't wait until the playoffs. BTW I don't know if you guys agree but there seems to be a lot more fire to this team right now compared to the team that was 'waiting' for Shaq last year.

as strange as it sounds, the Injury to Jermaine O'neal may have saved our season...we looked old and slow before he got injured

once doc moved KG to the 5 and Bass into the starting lineup. we immediately became a much better team.

it also lead to the development of Greg Stiemsma turning into a solid rotation player and giving us much of what JO did...that and Bradley developing into a legit offensive NBA player really have rejuvinated us

What I am seeing and learning...is the C's have a way of surprising people. I was really worried about this game with the Spurs. Of getting blown out especially. It's another loss in our column but we were half a shot away against the (currently) second best that the west could offer. Next game, we'll be against the best in the East. Rose will be playing. I'm looking forward to the next test.

Right and Wrong, Doc doesn't like to go against a proven formula even when its not working and there's the hot hand.

Danny Ainge can find a nice player when he picks better than 20.

Tonight we saw the way Doc is going to give bradley a ton of minutes, by going really small. I think we see a lot of these lineups and less steamer.

I think that was a matchup thing tonight, the small ball thing because the Spurs have Bonner. In truth we didn't exploit that mismatch at the other end nearly enough. I do agree though that Bradley moving forward should be seeing around 25-30mpg from now on though, giving Paul and Ray a couple extra minutes of rest while throwing in a little Sasha and Dooling when needed.

This game convinced me that we need Avery Bradley coming off the bench.  The second unit needs a spark that I don't think Ray can give them. 

I just wonder; is Doc now going to end up having to go small ball down the stretch from here on out?

No chance we can get away with small ball tomorrow night against Chicago, we'd get eaten alive. We only got away with it today because it's not that hard to guard Matt Bonner, you just have to stand with him at the 3-point line. Even with that, he killed us on the boards. You're not going to get away with that against Gibson, Boozer, Asik, Noah, Deng, etc.
