This is my first post of this year, I have season tickets and follow celticsblog every morning.
But, really, come on guys.
I've read on here how everyone says the team should blow it up, but then they start to win some games and you guys say they are a contender again.
This is the same team, the same group, and the same core. This team has had the potential to do this ALL SEASON......but things have not fallen into place, and they still havent. But slowly yet surely they ARE.
Keep in mind, there was no off-season camps/practices for these guys, and for a team that thrives in both halfcourt defense and offense that is VITAL. Not to mention there has not been practices frequently for them. But, no team is the league needs it more. They have plenty of new pieces that are finding their role, very late in the season. How do you expect Avery Bradley, Bass, Pietrus, etc. to learn the system without practices?

Also, most importantly...there have been a lot of untimely injuries. Begining of the year, Paul Pierce missed a few weeks, we had lost Jeff Green which is depleting, Rondo was injured on and off, Ray Allen was injured, Bass was injured, Pietrus IS injured, Wilcox is out, etc. But things are falling into place. Guys are finding their role. The team is getting healthy and most importantly in basketball shape! You can say that why were they not already in great shape...these guys are older....they do not heal as quick, so a nagging injury can prevent them from training.
I was never worried about this team. But all I am saying is for all you guys who say there done and they "should have blown it up" then you post how they are all of a sudden contenders over night because they strung up some wins.
The win over the Heat, thats a big win. But jeez were u that surprised? Have you watched a Heat game? There not that good.
We are talking about a Celtics team that last year, with a lot less bench presence, beat the Heat 3 out of 4 times last year in the regular season.
Only to lose to them in the playoffs are sweeping the Knicks. Not to mention, their motor and most important matchup vs. the Heat (RONDO) had a dislocated elbow and was unaffected.
Keep in mind, they were about to force a game 6 but they gave up a 16 point lead in the 4th.
So, long story short for all you have skipped what I typed out, keep doubting us going into the place.
Because according to you "fans" this team had no chance when KG got hurt a few years back, or when they were a low seed and made it to the Finals. Or last year, before Rondo got hurt.
Go celtics
