yes that is the worst part.  it was winnable all the way to the end of the game.  just execute one play and get to the line.
we can't seem to do that when it counts.

I always hate a loss, but this game was so winable it hurts. If we just hadn't let the Spurs get that ridiculous run in the 2nd quarter...

i cant believe that stupid play, letting the ball roll like that...
unbelievable.

That.

If I was Danny, I'd put a fine on players making that kind plays. I hate when Rondo does it, and he does it very often. Now it was KG's turn.

It wasn't the horrible last Pierce play that costed us the game, it was that turnover.
The Celtic in me.

Imagine if Kg knocked down a few more of those wide open Mid Range jumpers.

Not complaining, was a very entertaining game of ball. Just hate the lack of heart on the boards.
That's what it came down to, he shot 7-19 tonight.

Props to spurs. At least they didn't have an easy way out. I'll take this loss since the sixers lost too so we still hold the atlantic.

Let them savor the win since this is their first win against us in years.

Frustrating loss...it's great and all that the Cs are competitive, but these games are must wins, especially the ones that come down to the final seconds.

Depending on how this stretch goes, they may need to consider how lucky theyll be to win the division more by default...considering the sixers keep going in that downward spiral and the knicks are missing two of their best players

Well at least Ray came through with one solid basket at the end (he hit another) but he is back too early to me, he gave basically nothing tonight. He isn't the sole reason we lost but he still played terrible (not just on offense either)!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Sometimes I wish Doc was more reactionary.

Avery Bradley could probably score 40 and Doc would probably not react.

What more could Avery possibly do to get starter's minutes?

It's so illogical I can only come to the conclusion Doc figures Austin will be around next year and Avery won't
Reactionary coaching on any level is bad coaching. Consistency is the name of the game
How about just playing the best players the most minutes?
The Celtics 6 best players played the most minutes, what's your complaint?
Too many minutes for Ray. Not enough for Avery. It's that simple.  If Avery wants to start he has to grow a beard or something, and start complaining of arthritis apparently. Get some old man "injury" like sore knees or something. Then maybe Doc will start him.

Too bad we couldn't win when they were on the 2nd of a B2B and the Celtics had 2 days rest.

Every team loses its share of close games.

I wish we'd pulled it out but I can't kick myself over a 1point loss to the spurs

Such a wealth of shots that just rimmed out after looking like they were sure hits in the first half. Then a bunch of bad decisions on breaks, and such bad defense in the first half...

... yet we were playing with a Spurs team that's on fire, and hanging with them.

I see flaws, but I also see improvement.

I'm probably more mad the C's play Chicago tomorrow than I am they lost tonight.

It's infuriating seeing this team get destroyed on the glass night after night. Wins would come easier if they were a halfway decent rebounding team.

It was a solid game overall but out the gates or middle of the first it was bad when they went on that what seemed like 15-0 run that killed us, could never come back from it where we could take a lead.

I hated our p---ed poor rebounding down the stretch as well. Some questionable jumpers too.

If Doc's rotation solution is small ball, I think we are going to lose a lot of games. Yes, it worked ok tonight, but the Celtics did not win. You knew Duncan was getting that offensive rebound.

Poor Steamer. Another River's rookie casualty. Sorry big guy, rebounds and great defense are not needed in the NBA.

When you lose by 1 point, you can blame anyone and anything for the loss.
I think it was a great effort against a red hot team and this only increased my confidence in them.
Bring on the Bulls.

The funny part is Bradley had 30 minutes. He actually had more minutes than Bass, so 5th most on the team.

Why let the facts get in the way though? Ray actually rebounded pretty well, too.

Whatever, it's fun to scapegoat Ray these days just cause he's in his first game back from injury. Love it.
