The announcers talked a bit about the dynamics of having two bigs with range on the floor in Bass and Garnett during the nationally televised game against the Heat.  In the past, I've suggested that a stretch four is a better fit for a Rondo-centric team than a center with a traditional post-up offensive game.  I've also speculated that Doc's love of smallball lineups has a lot to do with his desire to put a better jump-shooting team on the floor and the way to keep him from going to under-sized lineups too often is acquire a power forward who can make jump shots without being an indiscriminate chucker (which is why I am not as enthusiastic as some about Josh Smith).

Looking towards the future, assuming the team brings back Garnett and tries to be competitive, it is probably for the best if Danny Ainge looks into acquiring a big with good shot selection and some range who has the BBIQ and maturity to understand the Celtics defensive schemes.  Agree or disagree?

Remember Shaq? The big just needs to know how to play defense and be big. Rondo can do the rest.

i thinj he just need the bigs to be an option on offense, be it jumpshooting (bass, krstic), post (shaq) or plays above the rim (wilcox)

our offense isnt as good with jo and perk with him( though a bit better on d). since the celts play very good team d, an offensive center fits the starting lineup better.
