Did anyone listen to rondos postgame he credited the fast starts and strong defense in the beginning of games that has them rolling, and that him and Avery are getting chemistry and get on the break

He might be hinting to something says as long as we keep doing that well be good. He's probably a fan of Avery starting as well. It is true though with Ray and JO back then we'd get off to almost always awful slow starts.

I keep seeing ppl say with JO, Jo aint gonna play for us anytime soon (never, hopefully)... unless I missed something?

Hes out I'm saying with JO "back then" and Ray how we were slower and got off to slow starts and now w/ AB and KG were off to better starts.

I even saw Rondo wave at his troops to run with him at the start of the fourth when the team was exactly flat.

This is exactly the reason why he is liking Bradley now.  Just wait til Jeff Green comes back and he will have his wishes come true.

Well, if it's all about winning I think the recent streak makes it pretty obvious.
I just hope no one digs up any of my earlier posts where I said Avery Bradley was the worst player I'd ever seen ;)

The question alone speaks volumes about Bradley and bodes well for our future. What would have been the odds on this thread during the pre-season? Suddenly with Rondo & Bradley, our 2 1st rd draft picks, a solid FA signing this summer, and hopefully a re-signed KG (2 year deal) & Green, the next couple of years don't seem so bleak.

Yep, and I think it's time to give Danny a heap of credit for drafting him.  The C's could well be starting an elite, 21yo 2 guard next year that Danny landed picking 21st in the draft. It looks like he's successfully replaced the first of the Big Three that's needed replacing--and right on schedule too.

No, AB doesn't have Ray's incredible shot or, so far, his 3pt range, but he's got other strengths that are developing nicely.

Ray and it's not even close.  He's completely useless to us with the second unit

I completely disagree with this assessment.  Avery has been a sparkplug for the team since being inserted into the starting lineup.

And Ray routinely has played with the second unit since many times he was the last of the big 3 to be subbed out.  Do you have any evidence that Ray is useless with the second unit?

I would start Ray.

I would use Bradley more off the bench backing both G positions, Ray shifting the SF more often (depending on the matchup)

Come playoff time, I see the bench being three guys.  Bradley, Pietrus (hopefully) and Stiemsma.

I still can't believe we will be depending on Stiemsma come playoff time.  I wonder if C is turning into Danny's Shortstop position.

That's what happens when a team loses two big men signed with MLEs.  (plus trade away a big man the season before for nothing that is on the court now)

Well why not just bring Ray off the bench when he finally gets healthy? It doesn't have to be permanent, but with the current chemistry and success that we're seeing, why not see how long you can ride this wave?

At least, with Ray off the bench, there would be a defined offensive strategy with the second unit.

Bradley because his defense and his ability to run on the fast break gives us the opportunity to open up a decent lead. The problem is that with this shortened season and with age, we cannot run with the athletic and younger teams ie OKC, Bulls and Miami

as soon as JO got injured and Ray Ray, we inserted Bradley and Bass and that has turned out great. Rondo has more options and is not afraid to drive to the hoop with these athletic and younger, fresher legs to run with

Its easy to say it but if you know Doc, he does not change philosophy overnight.... the wave we are experiencing right now is a result of injuries forcing doc's hand to alter his approach in the game.  Without the MP concussion, MP still starts, and if and when RA comes back, he will most definitely start with AB playing limited minutes again.  :-\

The other thing is, with KG, Bass and Pierce on the floor with Rondo we have the floor spread well, we need somebody else that can cut/ penetrate not just somebody else that can Nail a jumper.  To top it off the guy that we have that can cut and penatrate also plays Elite D.
