wow how great have they been fitting in and picking up the system? not talking numbers but just the smaller things they now know where to be and the rotating has been fantastic. the chemistry is off the charts and you see it building hopefully we can keep it up against some of the better teams we got coming up.

steamer blocking shots left and right or altering shots, bass while not rebounding great has been rotating nicely picking up guards or bigs for kg or rondo if beat off the dribble, and Bradley has just been sick cutting and killing people with his j I'm loving it.  :) ;D

Bass might be getting healthier but that's it. He's still a weak starting PF, should be a backup but sadly we don't have any other healthy bigs.

Bradley definitely is playing great right now, hopefully he can keep it up if he's not getting starter minutes.

Stiemsma is showing nice progress but no huge leaps just more minutes.

My guess is that Bass is gone after this season, but AB and GS are nice low-cost pieces over the next couple of years.

Neither has been through a regular preseason, and they're both playing better as they can relax into expected playing time.

Danny's history is to hang onto the best defensive players, and they're two defensive players ho can shoot.

I don't think Danny matches a long term deal for Bass, BUT given that it is looking more and more like the C's are just going to bring KG and likely Ray back next year, the chances of retaining Bass also increase if he's willing to forsake a long term deal for possibly bigger money over a 1-2 year deal here.

good thing Doc made them prove themselves....which just happened to coincide with JO, Wilcox, Ray, and Pietrus getting hurt.  Cause we sure didn't need this before now  ::)

Yeah, I can see the C's interest in that, but I think he has to go for security at this point.

yea but not bass fault he was pushed to the starting role, and don't think hes weak or just healthy he's been solid for us earlier in the year was at times our best player gives us much needed athleticism

Stiemsma was outplayed by Wilcox for the backup C role before he went out of the line up. Bradley has been getting chances through out the year off and on and kept getting minutes when he played well.

Bass has always gotten the most minutes of our second big.

He's definitely well below average PF as a starter, one of the worst in the league. That doesn't mean he's an awful player, but that he's being asked to fill a bigger role than his talents justify.

You're likely right.  However, I was thinking if he was only offered a long term deal at MLE money, would he be willing to gamble a bit and take a 1 year 8 million dollar deal or 2 year 13-14 million dollar deal thinking he could either a) build his value or b) make more money over the first year or two than on an MLE deal and still get an MLE deal after his time here was up?

Maybe.

Although injury has hurt us in the past few years, at some moments, it has helped us.  Without KG getting injured for extended time in 07-08, Powe would not have been given the chance to prove himself.

I think Steamer has looked good all year. And both Wilcox and Steamer looked better than JO. Doc sometimes looks like a better coach when he's forced to play guys due to injuries.

Bradley was always a good player, just never hit too many jumpers because of insecurity. I doubt he's improved much since last year, except scoring...

Other than the Bass thing this is just not true. Look at Steams' numbers vs Wilcox and take into account the extra minutes Wilcox got. They're very similar except that Steams is one of the best blockers in the league and Wilcox had 9 all year. If Steams is on a good run he can get 9 in 2 nights

Bradley did well whenever he got minutes, which was pretty much whenever someone would get hurt. Just like right now. Then the player would get healthy and AB would be right back to 12 minutes. If Ray comes back in a couple games the way AB is playing right now won't matter for anything.
