Bradley should be a 12-14 minute a night backup PG who receives situational minutes at SG when an opponent has an undersized explosive two guards (such as Monta Ellis).

It is not in the team's best interest to give Bradley regular and/or extended minutes at the two spot because both Ray Allen and Mickael Pietrus are more effective options at that spot. Giving Bradley more minutes there instead of those players only weakens the team.

So who is Pierce's back-up then?

Going forward (provided Allen and Pietrus regain their health), the only five back court players who should be getting time are Pierce, Allen, Rondo, Pietrus, & Bradley.
Pietrus is the only option we have for a backup SF who I want on the court. Otherwise we have to use Pavlovic unless the other team lacks a SF who can take advantage of playing three smaller guards.

Yeah, Pietrus

PG - Rondo (34-36mpg) and Bradley (12-14mpg)
SG - Pietrus (16mpg) and Ray (32mpg)
SF - Pierce (34-36mpg) and Pietrus (12-14mpg)

With Bradley getting some situational minutes at the two were appropriate.

Yeah, Pietrus

PG - Rondo (34-36mpg) and Bradley (12-14mpg)
SG - Pietrus (16mpg) and Ray (32mpg)

I agree mostly, except simply penciling in Pietrus for 16 min at SG and 12-14 min at SF isn't as easy as you make it sound.  It requires taking out either Allen or Pierce early enough to allow for that.  Will Doc actually follow through is the question.

I'm not sure about the line-ups but here's why I want Bradley to start...

Offense: Bradley's impact on offense is not dependent on shooting. He can get open looks at the basket (in transition and the half court) because of how fast he is. He can't shoot like Ray, but he can keep defenses honest. Ray's game is dependent on how he's shooting and how tightly he's covered. Ray's the better decision-maker, but that doesn't matter when Bradley's out there with the starters because they put him in the right position so he doesn't have to think.

Defense: Bradley's just as good as Ray on a 2. He can also switch to the 1 and give Rondo a breather. Whereas the defense sometimes has to cover for Ray, it's the opposite with Bradley. He makes plays that take pressure off of Garnet and Rondo and causes pressure that leads to easy turnovers.

Tempo: Bradley sets the tone every night because he's all hustle. Rondo feeds off of that, and our team feeds off of Rondo.

Ray Allen is one of my 5 favorite players all-time. I think he has plenty left and is a better player than Bradley. I think he should get the majority of minutes and close out games. I just feel like Bradley gives us a good spark to get in rhythm.
"Suit up every day."

Strange stat - the Cs are 21-21 when Ray Allen plays and 8-1 when Ray Allen doesn't play. FWIW.

Ray is a sniper but at this stage that is pretty much it and he can't create any space on his own.  The offensive chemistry with him and the first unit isn't that good.  They just stand around and watch ray run around screens.  80% of the time when he catches he still isn't open.  Then they only have around 10 seconds on the shot clock and they force something.

Seems when Ray is out and Pietrus or Bradley are in we have a better blend of athletes and vets, especially since Bass replaced  JO.  We actually looked very quick an athletic recently which was wonderful to see.  Bradley's speed and cuts have created some really easy looks for once.  We don't see that with Ray and the first team.  They end up being a jump shooting team.

Plus with Pierce, KG and Ray in there there isn't enough looks for them all.  Lately Pierce and KG have been consistent offensive forces and that is because the roles are clearly defined that they are the 2 go-to guys with Bass as a bail out.  It just seems to be a much better fit.  Ray on the second team would be better as he would be the top option for once instead of sharing the ball.  If force fed Ray gets hot..

No brainer to me.

Pietrus or Bradley Start!

Ray becomes an elite 6 man who's roll is to just chuck it.. No more driving and turning the ball over...

According to you, we should just put Ray Allen on waivers. Is that what I am reading?

He's not even remotely implying anything close to that. Even qualifies it by calling it a "strange stat".

Well the last handful of games were against the bottom of the barrel.  We beat the Wiz, Bobcats, Jazz, Wolves; none of which are playoff teams.  We could win any of those games missing a key player.  The only quality team we played was PHI and it was a loss.

In the other 42 games we've played WITH ray, a lot of them would be against those types of teams aswell, considering our hellish run to finish.

Logic is completely flawed

Theres been a handful of games where Ray Allen performed great

while Rondo and or Pierce blew chunks

people here just have a habit of throwing Ray Allen under the bus immediately

doesnt matter hat circumstance, wether Avery Bradley is 3-10, but still is a fabolous game for him, or the guy hes guarding still does well against him, people still want to see change. I cant fault anyone for that, but your minds are clouded. This team will not win games with Bradley playing 40 minutes a game.  And even if he does start and give Ray a off the bench role, that does not guarantee Ray plays well coming cold off the bench with a second team.

Its hilarious what people come up with when a team beats horrible teams.
