Celtics aggressively pushing to get high enough for Austin. Looks like some of you dont know anything about basketball.
Heh... I wasn't even part of this debate... I just think it's funny that you hear some rumors that the celtics MIGHT be MAYBE trying to POSSIBLY trade up for Austin Rivers according to "sources" and you're response is, "Told ya so!"...

at least wait to see if it actually happens to start howling "I told you so".  Jeeze.
front page of ESPN with multiple reports. this isnt like rondo for gasol, this has backing from many sources not 1.
I don't doubt that the Celtics want to trade up to the top 10.  I don't doubt that Rivers would be someone they'd consider.  I just don't think "speculation" that they "might" "try" to trade up to "maybe" take Rivers somehow is gloat-worthy.  Unlikely to happen.  Change your avatar, bro.

I would never trade up to get Rivers. For being a coaches son he reads the court absolutely horribly. He is a terrific one on one player-maybe the best this year. He can take nearly anyone off the dribble and his one on one defense can develop. However I ask you this basic question "How can you be a pro coaches son and that coach played the point guard position well and not be able to read the court?" What magic is going to make him more court aware?
