Sure, getting blown out sucks to no end but consider the circumstances. Pietrus suffered a freak injury and Elton Brand of all people exploded.

Call me a homer if you will but I saw a lot of positives from this game and out of this game. They have the two things we dread, youth and athleticism, but we fought it. Rooks got solid time. Defense was solid before the breakdown. Plus recovering from a mental blow like this would only make us stronger.

But the biggest plus: Quisey. Words can't say enough how much I missed him. And he's back. A solid performance off the bench once again and this time on a huge game. Along with news that Pietrus should be fine, our bench seems to be slowly coming together.

I'm not too sure where the 'Quisy lovin' is coming from, since he was pretty unremarkable to me, during the time he was on the court.

However, I do agree that the game had a positive vibe; right up until Air France got grounded. We looked sharp, getting good shots, making them, and Pierce & KG played their hearts out. Pietrus and Bass too, to a lesser extend, but still worth a mention.

It just sucked the wind out of us to lose MP, and then Bradley as well.

Bah. We're really outta luck.

What did Marquis do that was so great? I'm still pretty disappointment that he's on the team to be quite honest...

Thank goodness MP is doing okay.

We can still catch Philly but we can not afford any more injuries. And (always): Get the ball when the shot rims out.

I must have missed the Marquis having a good game part. Also, this team is down to like 8 healthy bodies.  Can't find a lot of positivity there. If pietrus won't be back for awhile, and Ray and Bradley miss more games, the lottery becomes viable. Thankfully, the next three games are against crap teams.

To me Daniels was solid offensively (nothing great but solid).  But as far as defense he was very bad.  Got beat back door a couple of times and lost his man several other times plus didn't hastle back on a few breaks...

Was at the game last night and I can tell you one thing, Marquis Daniels is not "back" and he is awful. The MP moment was very scary and after he went out (with the addition of Bradley), the bench looked like a couple of dudes we picked up at the park. While it was good to see guys like JJ and E'Twuan get some burn, last night was certainly not the right time or atmosphere for them to do so. That lead was high but I hate to see the C's throw in the towel with 3-4 minutes left against a division foe. Seeing as how thin the bench has become I guess theres really no choice. Steamer however, I'm really becoming a fan of! By all means hes no star but he gets his hands dirty on the block. Knows his role and he plays it well. Couldnt believe Ray was out as he was in the gym about 5:30-6 PM shooting around. Realize Doc was trying to preserve those old legs but last night was a must win in my eyes and we came short (with all the other injuries we NEEDED Ray last night). All in all it was a good game, being from Lancaster, PA I only get to 1-2 games a year so I always enjoy them win or loss. On a sidebar, I got a high 5 from Pierce and my life is now complete. lol, I'm such a groupie.. Go CELTS!

The game went straight down the tube after Pietrus and AB left .  It was shot though the heart ...down went the Celtics. :'(

Meanwhile Perk scored a season high--as a starter, mind you--of 12 points, with 5 boards, last night in OKC's double OT win.  Though he only had three fouls, his coach didn't put him in in the 4th or either OT.

I loved Perk's attitude and I don't know how much his injuries have slowed him, but I think it's safe to say that playing with KG elevated his game in the same way you see Stiemer and KG play together so well now.

Stiemer's consistent, lunch pail, defensive play on two injured feet (a bone bruise and PF!) was the revelation of this road trip. He's earned his toughness stripes for sure, while also learning quickly.

Whoever thought Danny might dig up a Perk replacement in the d-league?

It was nice to see Quisy in the game, however, he didnt do anything special enough to earn a role back into the rotation just yet. If Bradley misses some time he should be getting minutes over Sasha, but Quisy unfortunately hasn't gotten it done so far this season.

I agree it sucks that we had to see Philly on back to backs as well, we were also missing Ray.

It's why I don't feel too bad about the loss.

I read praise for Stiemsma, and while he has been playing well lately, I say to myself, how can an almost 7-footer get no rebounds in 18 minutes as he did last night against Philly. Maybe Ryan Hollins has already rubbed off on him.
