6 pts, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 5 blocks

Nice production, especially defensively, but nothing remarkable...but had he recorded one more rebound, two more assists and one more steal, he'd have five in every category.

Seems pretty unremarkable, but you may not realize how rare a 5 x 5 is in the NBA.

I don't think it's been done since then (more up to date info appreciated if there's a budding Elias out there), but Josh Smith missed it by one steal in January.

Since 1993, it's been done six times and three of those were by Andrei Kirilenko.

I wonder what odds you'd get on Stiemsma being the next NBA player to acheive this.

Actually Stiems had a great defensive game that the stats show little of... he altered a lot too... he was beasting quietly but I made sure to watch him closely on defense, he was really good if you focus on him.

too bad I would have loved for steamer to achieve that... he's definitely nba material as a role player im glad we gave him the opportunity and didnt let him rot away in the d-league hes really stepped up with additional mins, proof he doesn't take anything for granted. and hes got a great attitude, an overall good person and player.

Needless to say I like him, and on the contrary I think his stats tonight were very remarkable. He did a bit of everything, and thats what I'd expect from a role player. He does his job very well

I also forgot to add Stiems is doing this well on a bum ankle, if we had other games he would be resting that ankle!

Glad he's gettin more minutes to show he's a servicable backup who could potentionally start if he improves, hopefully some posters will give him some more credit rather then callin dude a 3rd string center

Definitely his best game. I still think he is a quality third center with a chance to be a decent backup. Hope the Celtics can keep him around for really low money.

Nice stat line and nice game by the Steamer.  He's been playing this way for a while now.  The arguments that, despite the fact that he blocks a lot of shots, gets his hands on a lot of balls, alters a lot of shots that he doesn't get, rebounds at a decent rate, and covers up the middle well in general, he's not really a good defender are a bunch of malarkey.

Greg Stiemsma has proven to be a very good defender.  He may not be Kevin Garnett or Dwight Howard, but for an undrafted rookie long shot whose contributions have been sorely needed, he's been an absolute savior.

He was very disruptive last night, which is why we need more bigs.  But yea, he;s coming along nicely.  Off topic, Dooling looksed good last night as well.  He takes alot of crap but he has his moments.

when doc went to the twin towers they looked good, kg was only starter left on court and we pulled away

I think greg is a year away from being a nice backup.

  Nice game by Stiemsma.  He is a good defensive presence who seem to be adjusting to the NBA game.  The officials give him no respect but that should change.  He was a real positive presence in the paint last night which is good to see and much needed.

  IMO he is a serviceable back up center who should continue to improve.
