Lost again tonight (vs OKC), and are now 6-8 in March and 11-13 since Billups went down.  They are now only 2 games up on Utah who currently holds the 9th spot in the West.

It's still likely they make the playoffs, but boy am I hoping the can continue to lose games and get into the lottery.

Things do not depend just on Utah.

If even one team out of Dallas, Denver, Houston and Utah has a worse record over their remaining games than LAC, then LAC makes the playoffs. (I'm assuming that Phx and others below them now do not go on a tear.)

Possible, but extremely unlikely.

I'll say it: considering the Celtics' luck this year, if the Clips don't make the playoffs, their pick will somehow land in the top 3.

maybe better they stay at pick 15.  There's a slim mathematical chance that the 14th team could move into the top ten via ping pong balls.  Which would mean the pick goes back to the Clippers.

Is that right?  Do teams 11-14 have a shot at moving into the top 10?

They say it's good if you get the teens in this draft and I agree. But of course I'm no draft guru by any stretch, just a casual fan.

So let me get this straight?  People would prefer the Clips make the playoffs, instead of get a late lottery pick (which belongs to us), and the C's miss the playoffs and get a late lottery pick?  On the slim chance the Clips pick would turn into a top 3 pick (which we wouldn't get).

Yikes!

I'd be shocked if the Clippers managed to miss the playoffs.

The teams below them simply aren't good enough to take it from them.

Either way, the pick looks like it'll be more valuable now then it did a month ago, so I'm happy. The 15th pick is great IMO. Hopefully our own pick ends up in the teens as well. If that happens, I'll really like our chances at picking up at least 1 impact player.

Whooops!  Pick 15 is impossible.  Forgot about the cruddy East teams that take up picks 15 through wherever....

So, I'm back on board with the Clips in the lottery.  Who likes to gamble?

They are really BAD though at least lately and not much time left to right the ship.

Vinny will never coach in this league again, no excuse to be a deep playoff team with that roster

To be fair to Vinny Del Negro; he's completely incompetent.
