Debating the merits of Diaw, Nocioni, Hollins and Fesenko is useless...much as they would be if the C's signed any of them. Nobody, the C's get right now is going to help much. The best we can hope for is that a player can eat up some minutes and not hurt the team too much while they are on the court.

I agree with you on Noc, Fes and Hollins, but I think Diaw's still capable of being a high quality 6th/7th man.  He has the potential to be quite a catch for the team that lands him.  I'd make the argument that at last year's production (11-5-4 on good efficiency in 34mpg), he'd be the 5th best player on the C's this year.  Even at this year's production, I'd rank him 7th or 8th (behind Pietrus and about even with Bradley).
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I'd rather pick up Nocioni if he is out there.

I hear ya on Nocioni. Not sure what happened to Nocioni but really good energy guy with the Bulls back in the day. If we pick up Diaw I could see Garnett screaming at him and putting him into tears.

Does any really think Sheed could still play in this league? The guy was out of shape with a full training camp. I'd bring back Russell right now before Sheed or Shaq.

Danny is victim of circumstances? I thought Danny was sleeping in the bed he himself made. So now he is not responsible for his own actions? Then he is not the "geneious" some in here claim he is.  Interesting.

Whether you think Danny is a genius or not, are you saying that a genius can't be a victim of circumstances?

  Interesting.

I would sign them both.

You still have JJJ, KG, Steimsma, and Bass as your rotation players.

These two would be for the bench.  They are good defenders and if you get in fould trouble, you at least have a big body available.

If you have a roster spot freed up by waiving Wilcox or JO.  Then waive Daniels.

Just so sad that these are the options for big men. Of course, I know none of this is Danny's fault. I mean, what do you want him to do? He is a victim of circumstances, he has no options, he's done the best he could, and so on. Really sad.

Every good GM should plan on losing at least two (if not three) players to cardiac issues every year, above and beyond other injuries.

Do you include JO in these cardiac issues, as in no heart (I don't care what he says in his interviews)? Also, what do cardiac issues have to do with the fact that last year he was depending on an old man and an always injured man as the centers that were going to lead the Celts to the promised land? Whether he had to trade Perk or not, the bottom line is since that trade the center position on this team has been a black hole.

With no lockout (and no Doc benching him in the playoffs), Ainge probably overpays to resign Krstic for this season.  That would have shored up the center spot.

2 seven footers would be great but one has to start

Fesenko

Fesenko

I have my doubts about Fesenko being physically ready to play.  Based on his defensive qualifications alone somebody should have picked him up before now (including but not limited to us).  Since they haven't I wonder if his knee is ready...

Get Hollins and Fesenko—despite their obvious shortcomings, they're legit 7-footers, and Fesenko is an absolute behemoth, and at the very least their size and length will cause problems for the opposition, plus they're extra fouls and insurance.

I am not looking forward to the Ryan Hollins era.  I greatly dislike watching unskilled big men who can't rebound.

I think that the center spot's doing pretty well right now with KG manning the spot. If we had a healthy Green and Wilcox to go with KG/Bass/Steamer/Johnson we'd be in pretty good shape right now.  Not perfect, but pretty solid all around.

He might be an unskilled big men who can't rebound but it's better to have him than the other options currently available!
So you better start getting use to him (that is if the pacers don't steal him from us...)
You won't find a skilled big men to pick up at this time of the year...
And for what Ryan Hollins could potentially bring, it could be here for a long time if he finally plays motivated like in this youtube video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfbnUuIBbNw.

I don't really care about Hollins, but Fesenko could be great to explore for his potential next year.

I could also see Bryan Doo being very busy this summer getting Fesenko trimmed down, 3J beefed up and Stiemer buffed up.

The cavaliers played motivated that one game the entire year ;D

He's actually a very skilled big man who can run and jump.  He just can't or chooses not to rebound.  Rebounding is far more heart than skill...
