I don't know why people wanna go near Hollins. There are D leaguers who will contribute more than him.
He's 7 feet and he averaged 2.5 rebounds in 15 mins per game.
Pathetic, give Chris Johnson another go if need be, at least he can catch the ball.
Here's what Cavs fans are saying about the release of Hollins....
They are stoked, excited and say it's the best thing to happen for them since drafting Irving.
This is the Cavs version of Celticsblog....

He's on a team for a reason.  And there's guys in the d-League for a reason too.  And who exactly did he have around him that he could learn from...Varejo?  I wouldnt trust anything a Cavs fan says about a player. To Them, if someones not the next Lebron James then they're garbage.

I think the headline is a little misleading.  It sounds like they are making a strong push for Hollins and are just looking at Fesenko...

Just so sad that these are the options for big men. Of course, I know none of this is Danny's fault. I mean, what do you want him to do? He is a victim of circumstances, he has no options, he's done the best he could, and so on. Really sad.

Every good GM should plan on losing at least two (if not three) players to cardiac issues every year, above and beyond other injuries.

Have you seen him play?
He is complete garbage.
He can basically dunk the ball and that's it. He makes Steimsma  look like an All Star. Seriously. Fesenko is garbage for the most part but he can defend and catch/finish around the rim when Rondo finds him.
God I hope we don't get Hollins.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Hollins was on a team mostly because David Kahn offered him a crazy contract a few  years back. I don't think he's significantly better than a few D-League guys.

Fesenko could make sense as an acquisition for the future, but he hasn't played a basketball game in months and he's always struggled with conditioning issues. He had knee surgery in September and hasn't played since then. I really doubt he's able to contribute anything at all this year.

I really don’t know much about those guys, but Fesenko always gave me the impression of a tough guy (in a Perkins kind a way, obviously not as talented.)I think we need to add some toughness.

I would go with Fesenko.

Even with Doc's apparent obsession with JJJ's lack of bulk, I fail to see how either Hollins or Fesenko could possibly be more productive at this point than just playing JJJ.  They don't know the offense.  They don't know the defense.  Neither one is that good in the first place.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Danny is victim of circumstances? I thought Danny was sleeping in the bed he himself made. So now he is not responsible for his own actions? Then he is not the "geneious" some in here claim he is.  Interesting.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

I can see why they are hoping for Evans if these are the only big men we have a shot at.

The drop-off after Diaw and Turiaf is pretty big.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Yes ive seen him play.

We need a Big...check
We need some youth...check
We need someone to tak up some minutes...check

Rebounding and offense?  Just because he hasnt provided much in the past doesnt mean he cant.  We're not gonna get a DH12 so we need to take whomever can help us out.  I think he can and he comes with some potential upside.

These guys are all A-W-F-U-L. None of them are even worth a spot really. I'd maybe give Hollins and Fesenko a shot, but Diaw is fat and useless now. The rest are mostly crap.

I'd rather pick up Nocioni if he is out there.

Yeah, it's totally Danny's fault. I mean, why did he sneak into Jeff Green and Wilcox's rooms when they were sleeping to perform secret surgery on them to weaken their hearts so they would have to miss the season? Yeah, he did NOT think that plan through at all. Also, what's up with him not using that time machine he has? Or signing Dwight Howard off of waivers, after blackmailing the Orlando Magic to release him?

Everything that has ever happened is Danny Ainge's fault.

Debating the merits of Diaw, Nocioni, Hollins and Fesenko is useless...much as they would be if the C's signed any of them. Nobody, the C's get right now is going to help much. The best we can hope for is that a player can eat up some minutes and not hurt the team too much while they are on the court.
