If you look at Boris Diaw's game log he hasn't played in 3 games.
http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/2167/boris-diaw

Also this from the Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer :

Interesting that Paul Silas chose to activate Gana Diop over Boris Diaw tonight. And before you ask, nothing new yet on a buyout.

I think it only a matter of time now. I know he isn't a center , but would love to add him off the bench. He gives us another playmake/point forward, this way Bradley doesn't have to worry about running the offense for the second unit and can just play lock down defense, run on the fast break and make cuts in the half court offense while Diaw plays point forward.

If we get him, our offensive boards will improve. Thus, we get more second chance shots.

A quick, very mobile, wide build PF. Length is lacking a little (6'8") but he is definitely an upgrade compared to Big Baby. Plus, he is a better jump shooter at mid range.

Yes please. Diaw, is a good player! Danny, if this buyout happens, this is a no-brainer!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

While I'd like to see Diaw, the rebounding point is just absolutely invalid. The guy averages under 6 rebounds per 36 for his entire career, and that's on some teams that REALLY needed him to grab some boards. That numbers nothing short of atrocious.

This.would be the perfect opportunity to post one of my all time favorite YouTube clips when Bill Walton compares Boris Diaw to Mozart.

www.YouTube.com/watch?v=6KkrccHEAqg

It is truly a privilege to listen to Bill Walton pontificate on the doings of the NBA  ;D

Furthermore if Danny Ainge were to acquire Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Gnobli for Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett it would be the French Connection plus Tim Duncan and Manu Gnobli. Then Greg Steisma in a sign and trade to Portland for Greg Oden and all the injustices of the 1997 and 2007 lotteries will have been redeemed  ;D

One of my favorite "sixth-man" guys at the moment, along with Jason Terry and Leandro Barbosa ... all underrated, IMHO.

like a second unit mixed in with starters

PG: Bradley
SG: Ray/PP
SF: Pietrus
PF: Diaw
 C: KG/Steamer

Thats a bench with a lock down defender at the pg spot, very good wing defender and shot blocking center protecting the rim.

-On offense Ray/pp and pietrus provide outside shooting, -Bradley becomes a slasher
- Diaw/ pp run the offense

I really like the possibilities for that second unit if we get Diaw

Now if we could only add a good low post beefy center .....Rasheed? ( i would sign him, there are no other legit centers)

When walton compares diaw to beethoven I think hes actually referring to the large, fat, uncoordinated dog pictured below.
