Can't shoot, can't defend, can't dribble, doesn't pass well....yeah, Fisher will help OKC.

Big locker room addition for OKC. I LOVE this move for the young thunder. This could turn out to be a huge move for them.

Fisher could hit the GW shot in Game 7 of the WCF against his former team.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Definitely an upgrade on their current back up point guards. He should be handy for them.

Good for Fish and OKC. I expect his experience to help them.

I see nothing but positives coming out of this.

Even better? Lakers lost AGAIN, to HOU tonight. 1-2 since the trade.

Lack of chemistry perhaps?

Bynum got tossed and they ended up with murphy on instead. Subsequently got killed on the boards and from that point on the rockets had the energy.

Didn't know that, thanks.

The realist in me says that LA will right the ship eventually, but I wonder how they'll react in pressure situations in the playoffs?

Depends if their coach can figure out the rotations. They looked great with sessions at the point and kobe off and as soon as Kobe came in and sessions came out with 5 minutes or so left the whole offense sort of stagnated and ended up with Kobe chucking up shots and playing hero ball. Blake is really stinking it up for them this year just as a side note.

Dragic made a hell of a shot in the corner to give the rockets the final ascendancy again.

  • GOT IT!!!
I see this as a Sam Cassell type situation. Remember guys, he's being brought in as a backup. He'll be fine in that role.

I'm assuming they get down and Bynum flagrantly fouls someone is a likely string of events.

Good signing for them.  A backup vet pg who has rings, sort of guy that can help in even just the mental parts of a playoff series.
Not sure how he'll blend with okc, a pg who passes  8)

I'm happy for both Fisher and OKC. He got another chance to grab a ring. Hopefully he doesn't sabotage the team and I think he won't. Every championship team need a veteran presence and Derek could be it.

OKC had the best backup PG in the league before Maynor was lost for the season In January.  Scott Brooks really relied on his backup PG to play quality minutes, so the high energy Westbrook could be fresh.  Rookie Reggie Jackson was shaky at the point and Royal Ivey just isn't very good.

Fisher, despite his declining everything, is a great pick up.  He will stabilize their second unit, and will be out there with two very good outside shooters, in Harden and Cook, so that unit should be able to put some points up.  Harden can initiate a lot of offense in the half court, which works perfectly for Fisher.

I really hope the Thunder get another shot at the Lakers in the playoffs.
