Derek Fisher is in advanced talks with the Thunder, according to sources.

Fisher is scheduled to clear waivers on Wednesday evening and is 'very close' to an agreement with the Thunder.

The Heat have also been the other leading destination for Fisher.

Oklahoma City is in need for backcourt depth since they are without Eric Maynor.

That's a nice pickup. OKC can use another tough veteran. His slowness can probably be masked by all those long defenders.

Thunder need a backup PG and Fisher is a savvy vet that can knock down big shots. I thought he would end up in Miami.

I thought he would for sure go to Miami as well and thought he might feel awkward out west facing LA in playoffs, perhaps he wants a bit of revenge. It would be pretty hilarious seeing them dismantle the Fakers w/ him nailing a dagger or two on them  ;D

Let's see...He bolted on the Jazz...He didn't report to the Rockets...

How do you trust this jerk to be professional for your team?

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'm a bit surprised I was convinced he was going back to the Lakers.

Nice sensible signing for OKC.

Be LA or contend for a title, it seems.

He couldn't go back to the Lakers.

He's probably going to OKC to sabotage the team so his Lakers can win.

Yeah. A Trojan horse. OKC must be very careful. That guy's allegiance is really questionable.

The important question here is: does okc have good eye doctors?

Fisher hasn't been effective enough to be relevant in almost 4 years. This is not going to change anyone's fortunes out West.
