Cavs waived Ryan Hollins. The 70th ranked center in Hollinger's PER is now on the market.

FWIW, he's a legit 7-footer. Here's his game log, with a recent uptick in minutes:

I eagerly await his first game with the C's, when his 4 rebounds in 15 minutes prompts Tommy to compare him to Dave Cowens.

Isn't extremely old or is he and doesn't seem completely washed up. I'd take him.

That Cavs forum worries me...
I always thought that Ryan was a solid NBA player..
We can only hope that Reggie Evans gets bought out maybe??

I'd be happy if we could get some length (such as Hollins) and some solid rebounding (Evans).

I've always wondered why Hollins isn't better than he is.  He's big, fairly athletic for his size, and seems to play hard (maybe that's only true in TV games, though).  But I doubt he'd hurt here anyway.  Sign him up!

This is scary.

From a Cavs poster:

"good...Hollins made his own bed. He had endless opportunities to show he gives a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline., and failed every time. i've never seen a big man who avoided rebounds so consistently. most of the time he wouldn't even bother to box out or go after the ball. what a waste of height. it baffles me when players get the opportunity to play in the NBA and they fail to even put forth effort. so many people would kill for that opportunity and a lot of these guys just p--- it away. some of these guys must think they can just coast along and survive on their height alone. you could tell that Hollins is one of those guys who never really cared about basketball and the only reason he started playing basketball was because he was blessed with height."
