I figured with all the negativity around here I would ask this question... People do realize we are only  game and a 1/2 from getting the 4 seed and home court advantage in the first round right? Ive keep hearing people say "if" we even make playoffs and such... Even the three seed is managable. We sign a big man an Im confident about our playoff push.

We just have to close this month out strong. A couple days off before Bucks/Philly, and then Washington, Charlotte, Utah, Minnesota. April starts out absolutely brutal so we need to keep focus and win all of these winnable games.

Boston might snag the 4 seed, but that doesn't mean they'll have home court. It's definitely better than being 7 or 8, though.

Homecourt advantage for any series is determined by record, not seed. So, it's possible that the 5 seed could have homecourt advantage over the 4, or that the 6 seed could have homecourt advantage over the 3.

We're 2 games back from the 5 seed the Pacers/Hawks for HCA if we are the four seed by also passing Philly (who is 1.5 ahead of us)

Homecourt advantage only matters if we are going to the playoffs, and we're not. The Bucks and the Knicks are going to pass us.

We only won tonight because the Hawks threw away the game. Even though we won, it was a perfect example of why they are actually better than us and will finish out the season with a better record.

You need to spend more time on the blog and less time looking at the standings and watching games. It will keep you from getting these crazy ideas that we're not terrible. I can't believe Danny didn't trade Ray for Gerald Henderson and a 2nd Rounder

Even if we wind up being no. 3, if we keep playing like this, we're not getting past the second round.. The big problems we have had the past two playoffs (losses vs. lakers and heat) - scoring drought, 4th quarter collapse, rebounding - have not been addressed and we just got a little worse..

Think you need to change the title of this thread to: so everyone realizes the East blows right??

We should all be thankful our team doesn't play in the West...

I don't care what seed we are as long as we don't have to play MIA or Chicago in the first round.

I almost want the celts to play one of those two teams. If we lose, then it was expected. However, if we win, and the chances of that are much higher than some think, then the losing team, preferably the Heat, is utterly shamed beyond comprehension.

I say bring it on. Once we hit playoffs, it's a whole new ballgame.

Shortened season, less separation in W-L records. More teams packed in together.

A good (or bad) run of results could make a major difference down the closing stretch.

I would be shocked if we could pull a 2011 grizzlies, especially with the whooping miami gave us last year... still you're right so we can only hope for the best

Gotta play them sooner or later, might as well play them first.

I wouldn't call it a whooping, we were up with a couple minutes left to go in two of the games we lost, and we basically played without Rondo. It was much closer than 3-1, even if we were thoroughly outplayed.

I heard Skp Bayless says on first take "don't sleep on the Boston Celtics". Couldn't agree more.
