Another guy who's not really a big, more of a 3/4, but has been available awhile is Renaldo Balkman.

I think his rebounding ability (9rebs per 36 for his career) would make a nice fit for the 9th/10th man roles that Dooling/Sasha/Daniels keep on playing their way out of.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari

JJ Hickson averaged 14/9 with 3 offense boards last season. We need young horses like Hickson to compete with the other elite teams in the east. The Celtics will get pounded on the boards and lose all the 50/50 balls if we don't get some young legs out there.

Another guy we should take a look at is Terrence Williams. He is a good ball handler from the SF position. I don't feel like Avery Bradley can protect the ball well enough to keep him on the floor in playoff games. A guy like Terrence Williams could take some of the pressure off him. Even Ray doesn't like to put the ball on the floor unless he's attacking. Williams will also give us more shooting than Marquis Daniels.

agree adding Hickson and TWill would be amazing IMO. I will take Diaw too if we can't get Hickson. The only guy that could make us outside contenders would be Kaman though, really wish the Hornets would buy him out.

Unless something is going on with Hickson that I don't know about (anyone?), he seems like a great idea.

For the 5, Sheed is the obvious choice IMO presuming he can give 10-15 minutes at level he gave 2 years ago (a dubious presumption). I think he is obvious because he is the player most likely to fit in.  He's played alongside the core of this team and he's played for Doc.  With no time for practice, he's most likely to have a seamless adjustment.  I do wonder why LA nixed him.  I've got to believe he is a shell of himself.

After that, I'd say Turiaf.  But as others have alluded, these types of players (Turiaf, Gaduric...) all look great against the C's so I think I have a skewed view of him.

Those #celtics fans thinking of JJ Hickson in the frontcourt should not get too excited. NBA source said he's likely committed to another club, and it's not the Celtics

Wonder if it's Miami.  Reunited with LeBron...

Oh well...

I know they are well out of the playoff race, but Charlotte could certainly use a PF.

Hickson has free agency to think of. I suspect he'll want meaningful minutes somewhere. On a playoff team would be bonus.

With J O'Neal done and Stiemsma now hurting, Ryan Hollins and Kyrylo Fesenko on Boston's radar. Keep an eye on a Reggie Evans buyout in LA.

Hollins is the basketball equivalent of a hockey goon. Six hard fouls and 10-15 minutes a night of elbows in his man's midsection. Not saying that's a bad thing.

Fesenko's name has been mentioned before. Reggie Evans as a buyout candidate? That's news.

He's got to be misinformed.  Hollins isn't a free agent (on the Cav's roster) and the Clips have no reason to buy out Evans.  He's in their rotation.

Honestly I'd take that.  This team badly needs some toughness in the paint.

He's also one of the worst rebounding 7-footers ever.

Give me the unknown in Fesenko, Hollins too frail! What's up with Danny's infatuation of those types & Reggie Evans is a ok pickup I guess in limited minutes 18-20 a game. But he hinders us in late games, terrible foul shooter.... I'm closer to buying out the Big 3 than picking up these SCRUBS we keep looking into, we can't seem to lure anyone of somewhat marquee name to come here lately.

I thought the Fesenko should have been here in training camp.
