There is no way that Hibbert is let go by the Pacers.  He's a RFA and I guarantee you that the Pacers will match any offer.  Why don't we try and look at realstic options?

Maybe because the Pacers have been fairly consistently linked to other Centers, like Kaman, they may not want him long term.

Maybe you ought to read what Larry Bird has said about Hibbert?

All I can find is that he wouldn't trade him last summer.

None. They don't make Boston a contender, but will be good enough that the Celtics won't get the high lottery pick.

This offseason was about Howard and Williams.  Howard is off the market and Williams isn't coming to Boston, so that means you don't waste the cap space.  You just sign enough players to one year contracts to get to the minimum salary, but that won't make the team a contender, and hope the 2013 free agent class you can land a star to hopefully pair with your very high lottery pick and Rondo.

No to OJ Mayo. He'll ask for a lot and the production he'll bring won't be worth it. Someone will overpay for him.

Same thing with Beasley, unless it's about 6 million.

Hibbert on the other hand. For me honestly I'll offer him about 11-12 million a year. The kid is 26. Is getting better. Will he be a game changer, no. But he can be a solid piece that could net us another high tier talent. And it'll also adds to Indiana's cap, making them not felxible in the future, in case they match. Just me.

No interest in Mayo or Hibbert. Mayo isn't any good and Hibbert will be overpaid. Two overrated players.

Beasley maybe, at the right price.

Wow, this clip just makes me frustrated that we lost Green for the season. I really hope this a kid comes back all the way and gets his health. He is a good player, certainly not great but this is the kind of play that contributes to a winning team. We'd be a 4 seed right now if Jeff was on this team, I believe that.

OJ and Beasley will be the easiest to get, IMO. Why not get both of them? Hibbert is a pipe dream, IMO. He's become an important piece of what Indiana is doing and I see him and Paul George as their foundation. What they should do is trade Granger and move George to the 3 (his natural position) and throw some money at the hometown kid, Eric Gordon.

But back to the C's, I def think we'll target both Mayo and Beasley this offseason with odds more in our favor for Mayo. I def think he and Rondo would be great in the backcourt together.
