Beasley over Mayo, definitely.

Hibbert wouldn't be a target of mine. You'd have to grossly overpay him to get him away from Indiana. At that point, not a productive signing.

eric gordon and josh smith/ hibbert/d12, wait til 2013 to offer long term contracts, much better talent will be unrestricted .

gordon has really disappointed me this season, with all those injures. i know he can't stop it but still lol we don't need that on the celtics.

really i don't mind jeff green being our shooting guard next season, yeah he's 6'9 but look at how good it's working out for Indiana with paul george. green has the speed, height advantage to be our shooting guard

Beasley redundant to Green, I'd rather have Green than that nut job.

I'll take Mayo, scoring guard who can start or come off the bench. Nice shooting stroke, can get to the rim - he'd do well next to Rondo.

Hibbert, one of many young quality big men (McGee, Lopez, Jason Thompson). I would go after anyone of them but it is likely that only Thompson could be had for less than the 40M bench mark Jordan got this year. He would do better in an uptempo offense where as Hibbert is really a 1/2 court player only.

Mayo/Thompson may not quite pack the talent or size of Gordon/ Hibbert but they should come cheaper. Danny needs to spend wisely, we don't want to be in a Detroit situation. 3 yr deals MAX, get players that can be moved on if needed. Pay less and keep the flexibility to offer a max deal in 2013 when more talent hits the market..

I think Green is more of a 3/4 than he is a 2/3. I'll take him at the 3 with Pierce as 6th man. We need some scoring from the 2 spot next year, preferably someone who can penetrate and finish at the rim.

Jeff Green isn't signed but I have to assume he will sign unless ainge really zings him on offer.
jeff green > beasley

oj mayo  :-\ can't get to excited about him replacing ray, think we can do better than him as sg
Roy Hibbert I would overpay for, he has shown all signs of improvement, dedication and work ethic.  Put him with KG for 2 years and he would blossom even more.

yea i think hibbert would be a good target, but i wouldn't give him max money, maybe 12 mil a year. Jeff Green was teammates with him in college so that might be enticing to Hibbert .

There is no way that Hibbert is let go by the Pacers.  He's a RFA and I guarantee you that the Pacers will match any offer.  Why don't we try and look at realstic options?

I would much rather go after Hawes than Hibbert.  I think Hibbert is basically at his peak right now (and think his numbers are decieving), but I think Hawes is still getting a lot better as he continues to grow into his body.

As far as Mayo versus Beasley, I wouldn't want to give either of them a big deal, but if I had to choose it would definitely be Mayo.  They both have major character questions, but I think Mayo has a better all around game, if someone can get him focussed on it.  Beasley will always just be a volume scorer, but I think Mayo can be a very good all around player if he wants to be.

Wouldn't want Hibbert. Would have to pay him over 10M a year to get him and that's way too much for him. Same can be said for McGee. Rather try to get Asik for 1/2 the price.

Balled statement there. Good shooting guards are rare. Sure Mayo isn't Ray but he's young and still can become a good asset.

I'd take Mayo over Beasley.
