On the front page of hoopshype it says "Marquis Daniels to be released" in the head stories, but I cant find an article confirming it anywhere else on the site...

Anyone have any information on this?

If true, looks like we'll be looking for a bought out big man Im assuming...

Tp for the possible news. Too bad about Daniels, I was a booster of his early on. But he never really was a factor this season.

You may be right about the celtics signing a center/pf. They don't need a marginal sf/sg as much as they need a marginal big man.  ;D

I guess this means that the JO situation isn't resolved yet.  Is there still a chance that he'll be able to play by post-season time and that he'll want to do it as a Celtic?

This is the only small bit of information on anything I could find. So it isn't confirmed or anything at this point...

Exactly.  It's very misleading at this point.  More agent speak than anything....

Before the season started I asked for two things: Sheedbot to be brought back to life and trade of some sort for Pekovic. :( And now we're thinking of signing Chris Johnson...

Yeah.  I think Quisy needs a chance to play if he wants a decent deal this summer.  I'm sure he'd like a buyout.

I'd be glad to see a buyout for Marquis.  For JO?  Not until March 24th.

Marquis, one of my favorite bench guys previously, really didn't do anything this year and if we need to make a spot (wilcox spot?) then he would be the one to go.  Sasha's energy off the bench has been great and other end of bench guys moore & jjj are developing.

Big body needed!  As far as JO, tommy who I assume has more information then he ever lets on didn't paint to good a picture of JO last night.  I believe he worded it as "i think jermaine has worn out his welcome in boston"
kobe plays with broken fingers & nose, JO tape your wrist, cmon even sasha did that!
